Hello,
I tried to install a Picofly modchip on a Switch Lite. After finishing the chip installation, I reconnected the battery, but there was a burning smell and smoke coming from the Switch. I immediately unplugged the battery. I also completely removed the RP2040.
When I reconnected and powered on the console, I noticed that the backlight was no longer working (I used my phone's flashlight to see the Switch menu). I disconnected the battery again and checked the flex cable just above it. As you can see in the photo, the fourth pin from the right is burnt. It seems like this pin is for the backlight.
I'm planning to buy a new flex cable, but are there any specific points I should check before installing it to avoid damaging the new one as well?
Thanks.
