Personally! I don't think anybody should be posting S/N information of newly purchased Switches NOT until Fusée Gelée has been tested because it's just a waste of time...

Ordered a grey switch/Mario kart bundle from Walmart. It came in and had A XAW100841 serial, so I returned it.

Went to Best Buy and found this one. All works fine and it's running SX OS. XAW100804 was the lowest SN they had.

Move fast! The hackable switches are running out.

If this XAW100804 model was good, that means my 800 model should be, in theory, okay to hack?

Is a range rule where lower = the better, and if a model that is higher than yours works, you're fine too?

Assuming you have your Switch and a jig! Why won't you go into RCM Mode and run TegraRcmSmash1213 and biskeydump payload on it? Then you will find out 100% whether it's patched or not...

How interesting; we have an unpatched XAW100804, a patched 100819 and an unpatched 100827 & 100831. This does make me wonder if my XAW100807 is patched or not, since it seems that the established range for patched/unpatched units is prone to outliers.

Thats is my guess as well. There is no clear "cutoff point", it is more of period of time unpatched and patched switches are produced at the same time
in the same factory. After a while, the factory will have upgraded all machines to only produce patched switches. It's the same with firmwares in my experience:

Tip: When buying a console with a serial number that seems to be the last batch of 3.0.0 be careful, because there is a chance that it comes with
3.0.1 in the box. For example, we have XAJ100127 as a 3.0.0 serial number, but XAJ100122 was reported as 3.0.1. There seems to be a overlap in
serial numbers, probably due to factories flashing two firmwares in parallel for a short time when upgrading the assembly lines.

That said, buying any Switch in the XAW100800 range in definitely a gamble. Same with serials that are close to known patched serials.

Yes. Most likely it will be on 4.1 FW. Go for it. I just got my and SXPro and did it. Follow this steps.

1. Backup the Nand
2. Upgrade to 5.1 (enable exfat)
3. Download Pokémon Quest
4. Backup the nand
5. Install the SX Pro

Now what we really need is to see if anyone has a patched XAW1007XX units out there if not then we have a (mostly) guaranteed safe range. But so far it seems that for the US anything on or before XAW700163 or any XAW1007 is almost certain to be hackable.

So me and my brother couldn't get the command line to work so we just injected the payload through TegraRcmGUI and a qr code came up on the switch and said something about the exploit so I assume I'm good. I just couldn't confirm on the command line screen. Also if you don't mind me asking, why the Pokemon game? I'm a bit of a noob and not all that informed about the process yet.
