So the general consensus from the developers of these Switch exploits is that they won't be releasing them until AFTER Nintendo patches it. But since Nintendo is now disallowing connecting online on older firmwares, this would potentially create a huge problem with these exploits if they require use of the Switch Browser or any other online connectivity and were released for an older firmware after it was patched.

It depends how you look at it anything under 3.0 (latest as of this post) doesnt have sdxc micro sd support which sucks, what size will nand dumps be for the switch?

So we have a couple of different quads of arm cores and cuda cores to work with, AND we have a kernel dump. Didn't the 3ds' soundhax utilize the GPU in some way with the payload? Since we have the kernel, could that be possible for the switch?

Hey everyone,

Should I stay on FW 1.0.0?

I bought a new Switch system on Amazon.ca when it was on regular price and i think it come with the 1.0.0 Firmware ...
i dont have any game because I wait for Mario's games to open it.

it's a good idea to update my system on the 3.0.0 Firmware or stay on the 1.0.0 Firmware ?
It's possible to update is console with a game like olders Nintendo system ?

not much reason to stay on 1.0.0 at this time unless you really want to develop stuff.

Sorry if this is a n00b question, but could the method hackers used to transfer saves from one console to another potentially be used to transfer Minecraft worlds from the old Switch Edition to the new Unified Edition when it releases?

another probably noob question : are there any known system updates on carts? so for example if i stay on 2.0 and ever need to update to lets say 3.0 i can just pop in game xyz and there is a system update on there which i can install without ever going online? or are the games only saying you need to update your console (online) to play this game

You cant play carts that require higher then 2.0 because of the firmware updates they come with.

but you can update with only the cart without going online correct? so there is a theoretical possibility to get to a vulnerable version in the future by updating through the right game?
IE your on lets say 2.0 . vulnerable is version 3.0, current version is 9.73. on arms or whatever there is update 3.0 on the cart -> use the game to get to the right version
