Hi, I am new here, but I have been browsing the forums since a very long time already

I recently got a switch from a friend that only boots into a bluescreen. I wanted to follow the guide to recreate the eMMC but was unable to boot any version of hekate (they all show a black screen) with rcm and also don't have any eMMC backup of the console. I was able to get the biskeys from the console, however when I try to boot memloader it is either unable to connect to the host (I tried various differemt usb cables) or it shows an error during lzma decompression returning 0 bytes. After reading several threads on the forums I was thinking this might be a hardware issue, however I am not sure and don't really know what else I could try.

Thanks

Thanks, i stumbled across the thread too already. I checked for shorts around the bq24193 and the P13USB as well as the M92T36 but didn't find any.
My microsd reader works, at least i think so as i was able to dump both the biskeys and the raw fuse data to the sdcard (i think all payloads are able to read from the sd card however some crash later). When booting brickmii it shows me that autorcm is enabled however when trying to disable autorcm it shows me that it is unable to find the public keyblob. I also tried gptrestore which shows me a decompression error.

The problem is also that i am unable to boot any version of hekate into the menu, they all hand at a black screen. I am not sure how to check if the nand is at fault though.

I am at a loss for words man.
there's a chance this might be hardware failure more farfetched than simply a NAND issue.
having said that, supposedly the NAND was bricked, you could boot payloads just fine and even run Linux hence them running off an SD card (not touching the NAND at all)
you mentioned that you got this from a friend right?
did he hack it or tamper with it in whatever way before?

He told me that it just stopped working all of a sudden (he also doesn't know why himself) and he didn't try hacking it or fixing it in any way. However when i opened the switch i saw signs that someone had opened it already before.
If the NAND is bricked (and this was the only issue) would it possible to recreate it from scratch without any backup of BOOT0/1 or won't it work?

Thanks for the tip with linux i will try to boot linux and see if that works. I will report back with the results

I believe you still need a backup of prodinfo to recreate a NAND

Thanks for the help so far,
I tried booting linux but without hekate working this was also not possible. Do you guys know if there are any debug builds of hekate maybe where you could see at which step the boot fails?

So I guess without being able to get prodinfo I am stuck with a probably unfixable switch

Try to take out SD card when launching Hekate based on my experience and other threads everyone has success without SD card. Then in Hekate you can insert SD card.

Also I replaced bq24193 already still same issue. I'm probably gonna go one buy one on the chips.

Thanks, I tried that already too. I tried it without SD card and without SD card controller, i even tried booting without the eMMC attached. No matter what I try I only get a black screen when trying to boot hekate.

I was thinking if replacing the chips would solve the problem, however I don't have the necessary equipment to do that and i have never worked on these small components myself.

Which hekate version did you try to boot from? Make sure it's the newest payload. 4.10.1
