Hi, my switch got banned, and that's not a problem cause I don't use online. The problem is that I can't start a game anymore, eveytime I try to open a game I get the ban error 2181-4008.
Anyone knows how to resolve?
Thanks in advance for any help.

You had parental controls on?
No.

I also noted that I can't play on airplane mode... When I try it says I need internet, if I turn on internet it says I'm banned .
Maybe tomorrow with a pc I should try to reboot it and maybe reinstall atmosphere, idk.

Have you tried going in airplane mode? The error code seems to suggest it's trying to connect to Nintendo's servers. But can't because you're banned.
They already said they tried airplane mode two posts above yours.

Maybe your tickets got deleted. Do you get a message like "it will be checked if the software can be launched" ?

Try to reinstall a game.
Album -> homebrew launcher -> nsp installer

I have the exact same problem. Only, it’s with Untitled Goose Game. Everything else works. I did have this issue with portal knights, but I found out that I didn’t have the base installed, only the updates. After I installed the base for portal knights, that game worked now. Not Untitled Goose Game, I get the banned error that was mentioned in the OP.

No singleplayer game can be banned on CFWed Switch btw.
Just backup your saves then restore full rawnand backup and update CFW, then install your game again.

I might be wrong but if your Nintendo account that you use isnt linked to your Switch and you try to play games on it, it needs to authenticate itself by going on Nintendo servers, but since your Switch is banned it cant communicate with the Nintendo servers and therefore wont let you launc hgames, this could be a possibility, either that or sigpatches.

Probably that was the problem, I installed some new games and it's working, now I'm reinstalling all the old ones. Maybe when I got banned all the tickets got deleted? Idk.

It's bs nintendo made it nearly impossible to play a game I bought after being banned
Well Nintendo can care less about paying customers. One title you pirate in, your switch is flagged for ban unless you use emuMMC with prodinfo blank to keep sysMMC safe from ban

You broke their rules willingly
That isn't the cause of OP's problem. A banned Switch can't access Nintendo's servers online and that's it. To be "banned" from playing single-player games offline is unheard of. Clearly something else is wrong.

@Sluckavich does reinstalling the affected games solve the problem?
