What is important to you? Mechanics or branding?Does TemTem have Charizard?

I'm not going to say what I don't want; I'm going to say what I do want, and what I want is to play the games I love on the platform I've chosen to be assumedYou just want to pirate the game. Just say that and no one will complain. People have circumstances. I'm from a country thats much less privileged than you, and even I understand the economics behind it.

But they haven't. So you have to pirate their games. Ergo, you're a pirate.I'm not going to say what I don't want; I'm going to say what I do want, and what I want is to play the games I love on the platform I've chosen to be assumed
Stop saying I want to be a pirate, you're wrong. because if Nintendo ported their games to PC, I'd buy them no problem
what I think is important is that exclusives shouldn't exist, so that everyone can play what they love without having to depend on a platform that:What is important to you? Mechanics or branding?

Well, lucky you, then, that the creature-capture concept isn't exclusive to Nintendo.what I think is important is that exclusives shouldn't exist, so that everyone can play what they love without having to depend on a platform that:
they won't use it much and they'll only play the exclusives and nothing else
but is it my fault or Nintendo's fault that they don't want to port their games to PC?But they haven't. So you have to pirate their games. Ergo, you're a pirate.

There is no legal emulation. Dumping games is still piracy. Nintendo's EULA clearly states that they will not condone emulation or rom dumping, that the only way to use their products is how they explicitly provide it, and any other use is considered misuse. Misuse that can and sometimes did result in legal action, and certainly resulted in bans from Nintendo services.but is it my fault or Nintendo's fault that they don't want to port their games to PC?
who says I'm going to pirate? i might as well buy the console so i can dump the games to use the emulator legally, i'm just not going to buy it now until the emulator comes out
actually, Nintendo EULA, but not UEA law nor where I live dumping the console is not illegal, nor even emulation, there are already precedents for thatThere is no legal emulation. Let's just say you have a pretty wrong idea about what constitutes "piracy" and what doesn't.

Yes. It's all illegal. Glad you're catching on.actually, dummying the console is not illegal, nor even emulation, there are already precedents for that
and if we go by that scenario, hacking the console and unlocking it, even if it's to enhance it, is also illegal, no?
so, what's your point?Yes. It's all illegal. Glad you're catching on.
My fellow high seas adventurers. Once Switch 2 emulation is available, what are your plans?
I think I'll go half and half.
- Meaning buy a mini-PC just powerful enough to play Switch 2 games
- ONLY buying Nintendo game cards USED (cause fuck Nintendo) since (at the moment they're guaranteed to have the full game
- icing on the cake, the whole Switch 2 to Switch 1 game streaming would be nice if the emulator can support it
- also icing, if someone makes a USB card reader, I would love to run Switch 2 games via that like a real console.
Thoughts?
That is piracy whether you accept it or not.I'm not going to say what I don't want; I'm going to say what I do want, and what I want is to play the games I love on the platform I've chosen to be assumed
Stop saying I want to be a pirate, you're wrong. because if Nintendo ported their games to PC, I'd buy them no problem
Even if Nintendo did port their games to PC I doubt you'd buy them, you just want it for free.but is it my fault or Nintendo's fault that they don't want to port their games to PC?

and how do you know that for sure? you don't even know me, nor do you know anything about meEven if Nintendo did port their games to PC I doubt you'd buy them, you just want it for free.

If the shoe fits, they say. We don't know you, but from what you've said so far, if you feel like something is not worth your money, you would still go and get it for free if you can. Not because you have the choice of sale, but because you expect everything to be available to you. You don't want to buy the switch because you do not see its worth, but you still want to play games published for it. You don't see the worth of the games itself, at all.and how do you know that for sure? you don't even know me, nor do you know anything about me
Well, all I can say is that you're wrong, and stop assuming what I supposedly want. If you don't know or don't want to understand what I really want, then stop saying that I just want “free games.”If the show fits, they say. You will pirate PC games because it's the same thing. If a game even has a form of drm in it, you will use that as excuse to play the cracked version. You wouldn't just ignore the game and not interact with it like a normal person would. Because you want something, you will get it by force.
If you don't find the worth in something, then don't interact with it.

So you still pirate it, every console and game thats not on the PC.Well, all I can say is that you're wrong, and stop assuming what I supposedly want. If you don't know or don't want to understand what I really want, then stop saying that I just want “free games.”
and spoiler: I buy my games on PC, Steam, Epic and Gog, all and the only stores I use
the only games I pirate are those that can no longer be bought in these specific stores
but not because "I want free games"So you still pirate it, every console and game thats not on the PC.
You just described the entire point of exclusives actually. They exist to draw people towards the system."because I want to play his games like Pokopia on my PC because I'm a assumed PC Gamer and I don't want to buy a console that 1. I won't use much, 2. I'll technically play just because of the exclusives and nothing else (see, that's why I hate console exclusives)"
but I don't think that's right for usYou just described the entire point of exclusives actually. They exist to draw people towards the system.
but I don't think that's right for us
right for companies, but not for us
