Sorry if this is already answered but I didn't find any info.

Today I got my hands on a brand new 1.0.0 Switch. It was pure look. I want to know if there is an alternative to install and enter homebrew, because I have been out for FW 1.0.0 news for a good time, (I got another 4.1 Switch and use a jig to enter RCM).

I looked for info but I learned that I need a copy of Puyo Puyo Tetris (J). Is there another, newer way to do this without that game??

Thank you all in advance.

I'm *assuming* that you could *in theory* load your *own* "backup" of puyo puyo to install fake news.

Sure ... why don't you just use RCM on your 1.0 Switch? You seem to have it done already and it will work perfectly fine with 1.0! This way you can create a NAND backup already and start to mess around with it. Just make sure to not install a new Firmware and burning any fuses. You can use this tutorial to upgrade without burning them: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...nofficially-without-burning-any-fuses.507461/

You could potentially roll back to 1.0 any time then and enjoy the coldboot hacks ... should some be released one day

Type launch pegaswitch 1.0 without puyo puyo in google first page that comes up is from gbatemp

if you have 1.0fw switches, best advice to enjoy them is update the 4.1 one to latest FW and play exclusively original games, while waiting for the coldboot CFW for ur 1.0 switch.

No. Don’t waste a 1.0.0 switch. An update will burn fuses and make downgrades impossible, even with the new method there is so much to go wrong (false payload and fuses are burned).

If you 'fake' update from 1.0.0 to 4.x the cartridge port will become useless on anything below 4.x due to 4.x having a newer cartridge port update.

If you follow the guide nothing will go wrong and with autorcm there's no way your fuses can be burnt.

And yeah if you downgrade you'll lose the ability to play gamecards but really what are you going to be playing on your 1.0.0? Plus there's no reason to downgrade back until a coldboot gets released for 1.0.0 and by then there will probably be emunand and backup loaders anyway

Just so you know even though you install fakenews you need a pc each time you reboot to enter the homebrew menu, so it's still kinda like a jig

Afaik the first version of sxos burned fuses/ didn’t circumvent the fusecheck.
