I gathered that much. I go in JKSM, find my game, go to import the save and nothing. Well at least when I did it prior. Perhaps something I did just now will make the difference?

Nope nothing. No addition options come up when I click Import.

sd:/JKSV/Saves/Kirby_Planet_Robobot/slot_1/savedata.dat

Try exporting the current save, and replacing it with the new file.

Is this one of the game with the 9.6+ encryption? If it is, follow the guide here: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/s...s-from-R-B-Y-virtual-console-(using-homebrew)
It helped me with exporting my Pokemon Picross Savedata in svdt. You may need to find the xml file for Kirby Planet RObot, as it's quite new. Maybe it's already there on the github mentioned in the guide. Good luck.

No SVDT won't boot up. It gets stuck on the yellow screen. I can boot up and use just fine JKSM though.
svdt gets stuck on the yellow screen because the game uses the 9.6+ encryption.

Simply reading this will be easier and more straightforward.

I'm unsure if Planet Robobot has an .xml file, but if it doesn't now, it won't be too long until one is uploaded.

no, it would hang on a red screen because of that and the mmap xml was not there. yellow screen means takeover failed or something.

it's not right now. maybe it will today.

So I tried launching this with a gateway rom of cubic ninja. So now I am kinda stuck as to what rom i can select because I launched with cubic ninja huh?

Oh wait i found a workaround. So once i get in with the game data I want to dump, how do I know which file I need?

At startup, svdt will automatically back up save data to a time-stamped folder in sd:/svdt/.

does this mean as soon as I am booted in to the correct game via svdt, I have already backed up what I need to? Im really confused.

SVDT backs up data to sd:/svdt/game/date and time when you open it with a valid app/game
edit: then you can just make whatever edits you need to the save data, then restore by going to that folder and pressing y (there will be prompts to overwrite save data, be sure to select the second to latest since it will make a new backup)

The kirby game has been a know issue even though it supposedly is pre-9.6. Why that happens isn't known, but maybe generating a xml file as if it were a 9.6+ game would make it work.

Maybe someone can help me here

I've a big problem.

I wanted to use svdt to get the savefile from pokemon yellow (German version)
I have 2.7 payload, hbl 1.1.1, FW 11.0.0-33E and a folder called 'mmap' (without the quotes) on F:/3ds/ with the .xml files in it...(tried the ID and another name for the .xml-file)
but it still stucks on a red screen when Pokemon Yellow is chosen by me in svdt

Can someone send me a picture of his/her directory from SD Card? Because i have no idea wether the mmap folder is on its right place and i am not understanding how the svdt app is able to open those files...(btw the tutorial on projectpokemon doesn't working as you can read above)

I am really sucked with that...
