Is anyone able to transfer a save with Tomodachi Life?

This may be a new addition to the burgeoning list of games that don't work with svdt.

what error are you getting? I was able to use it before I thought

I'm not getting an error. Every time I try to move my save, when I start the game it always writes new data. As if it's never been played before.

It could be I'm doing something wrong/ I'm trying to move the save from a 9.2 FW cia to a 10.5 FW Sky3DS ROM.

I do play it long enough to save, so there is a save to be written over. And svdt does tell me "finished".

probably has a secure value, I don't know. do your games regions match?

Dumb questions

1) If i play a game in the Japaneese version, there is no way to transfer the save to an American version of the game right?
2) I wanna play Monster Hunter X, but I know they will make a Monster Hunter X G one day, would i be able to transfer my save from X to X G?

I think there has to be a save file in the gamecard for svdt to work (ie. play the game until you can save, save, and then copy the old savefile to the card)

If the save offsets of the game are the same in JPN and USA region, it can be imported.

Nope, if MHXG (for JPN, and MHXU for USA) goes out, you will not be able to, because MHX and MHXG are not the same game... (98%)

how do i check those offsets? I kinda want Bravely Default from EU in Feb, but I might wanna transfer it to the NA version in april

hey, i have a nand backup... and straight up complete 3ds sd card backups before i setup rxtools on 9.2/emunand to 10.5.... obviously i have no games/saves on my sd card anymore, its completely empty... how could i get my savs back after redownloading games from the shop on my emunand?

Get that nand backup on your sd as emunand, get your sd contents back, run emunand and then use svdt or svdt filer under emunand to get your saves.
Then restore your previous setup and write your saves to your new emunand.
