Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for GBA.

My ex was a big HP fan and I would have nothing to do with it, but she took me to see the third movie and I actually enjoyed it. Enough to read all the books and then try some of the games. I downloaded HP1 for GBC and tried HP2 for GBA and was hugely disappointed. So imagine my surprise when i booted up the third game and discovered that it was a very passable RPG.

There are some lame exploration elements that look bad but aren't too tedious, and McGonagal never sent Harry et all into a maze as part of a class (in the movie or the book) but if you ignore all that it's really fun.

I went out and bought the game immediately. If you haven't tried it, I would highly recommend it. Just ignore the bad graphics and sometimes sloppy delivery of the story.

Anyone else know of a GBA game (or even something for another system) they thought would be bad?

I remember seeing those and the homebrew recommends lists too. They're good lists, but a lot of those on the list (like Astro Boy, ninja 5-0, Bionicle: Heroes, etc.) are on a lot of people's 'good GBA games you probably didn't play' list.

I loved HP1 on GBC, that was just awesome

I got Star Wars: the Clone Wars on gba and I thought it would suck. It was a formula platformer, but instead it was great. I don't know why, it had no characteristics of a good game, but I enjoyed it.

It's Mr. Pants. Seriously, i thought "gosh, another poor puzzle game" and discovered after a while that 2 hours went by.

That one suprised me too. I may have been expecting a Tetris clone or something, but I was gald to see that it was unique. Especially since Rare and THQ made it.

Karzy racers IMO was BETTER then Mario Kart.

too bad I wanted to see them out preform them a second time in DS too.
