now the MD5 of fimware.bin is A9DCD99A360E8629810F8ED08403D746

Can someone please confirm the MD5 of the new firmware.bin? I can't make it match 75a56eb75078aa5de73f3b9aa2815a3a, even when I download the files manually and concatenate them using copy /b myself bypassing python altogether. It's A9DCD99A360E8629810F8ED08403D746 all the time.

the *5a3a is the old one. the new one is *d746.

I'm getting this when i launch DS profile

There was an error and the software was closed. The console will restart.

Any solutions? I was using rxTools 2.5 with a CFW Mod to play GBA Games, now i updated and gives me this error..

Recently formatted to install rxtools only.

Hmmm weird.

Can you post where you get an X? How many dots before the X? The position of the X matters.

Also, do you have any modifications installed? Like The patched AGB_FIRM for example

Here is my SD card root and error screen. My 3ds was formatted yesterday, setup was made with rxtools 2.5.2 and today i upgraded to 2.6, of course it goes to emunand and everything is fine... but i always get that x at the beginning. Can you pm me your firmware.bin?

Ok I am at work now so I can't confirm right now so maybe someone else can help you until then, but could you post the md5 for the rxtools.dat?

I suspect for some reason you still have an old rxtools.dat .. I think your firmware.bin is fine since you have the 3.x MB one. But just in case, can you post the md5 for that as well

Also, try deleting the "data" folder inside the rxTools folder. It should be a hidden folder though so if you don't see it, enable hidden folders

If yes, then it is correct

2- can I ask you to give me the crc-32 for the rxtools.dat instead of md5? That's the only checksum I can see on my work PC :/

Yep, I figured out your problem (I think) it is just as I suspected, your rxtools.dat is outdated. The correct md5 is:
5518AE169D649135

Clear your browser cache and redownload the release zip from GitHub. It should be working after that

Edit: and if your firmware.bin is the md5 above, then you are fine only replace the rxTools.dat after ensuring it has the correct md5

so after much, much trial and error I have gotten gba games to work on my 3dsxl
turns out the gba rom must be installed on both sysnand and emunand (also they should be linked)
before i would get an error screen/two black screens

I second this. Use the link on GitHub. The zip download on RXtools.net may not be properly updated(?).

Modified date on zip download from GitHub link should be 6/29.

If you use the latest release from github, wipe the rxtools folder before you try again, it helped for me.

I'm able to play GBA games, I've tested Wario Land 4.
But everytime I press the Home Button it goes to sysNAND. Also when I return to emuNAND the game is not there, but if I open a game and then press home button it says a new item has been added to the menu and it's the GBA game lol.
I can also continue from the save file, so I don't think it's a big issue but would be cool if it was solver

I'm gratefull to you now I can play GBA on my 3DS

Returning to sysnand after playing a GBA game is normal, nothing we can do about it.
To prevent having the gift wrapped boxes, unlink sysnand and emunand or install the GBA games also in sysnand and open them there, then boot into emunand and no wrapped boxes again.

Hi, could anyone help me with a gba cia please.

Rxtools is running fine.. All dots installed thanks to the info in this thread. Also injected fbi to sysnand health and safety, which boots fine.

I first installed the gba cia to emunand using fbi, using destination sdcard.. But it won't boot and gives me the power off error. So i tried installing it in sysnand with fbi which gave me an already installed error.

Oh yeah, nands are linked.. Also i just noticed the cia is us version, i'm using eur 3ds, died region matter with gba?

i try the ver2.6,it is work fine when i use browser loader,but the ninjhax loader can not pass,it is say quicklanucher faild(like this mean)in the bottom screen

maybe this is because i first in pastecfw mode to use cublc ninjia(i do not have a legit one) load ninjhax in sysnand,then to load rxtools ninjhax version,so it is faild?
