Just want to point it out
Maybe I'm being foolish, but I've read what you wrote several times and it's confusing each time. What were you saying exactly?
I am saying that Team Supercard are trying to make Supercard DSTwo appear to be what it's not, DS Mode flash kard on 3DS? That will be a waste of battery, and even if it will work on the 3DS, the 3DS will have its own player, and so on

Fuck the what?

1 - How is a DS mode flash cart a waste on the 3DS? Letting you play your entire collection of DS games on one cart doesn't sound like a waste to me.

2 - WHo says the 3DS will have it's own video player? The Wii doesn't, and Nintendo's not hinted at any native video playing for any of their current systems.

There are other exciting news: the Supercard Team has offered to sponsor the Homebrew Bounty in multiple ways. They will be donating amazing prizes and there's a lot more to it, but I can't say too much for now. We'll be working hard on this, and we'll get the Homebrew Bounty started as soon as possible with more exclusive announcements!

I'm most curious to know what the hell this statement means! =)

Does anybody know if MKV files work? I'm also curious to know what audio codecs are supported. Also I wonder if softsubs are supported.

If you want DS homebrew and your DS games on a flashcart on your 3DS (which, by the way, it's impossible to know with certainty if it will even work) then I don't see how it's a waste. I don't see what this even has to do with 3DS really since...well...it's not out yet and we're going to be using it on our DS and DSi systems.

Great news, just one little question:
How's the video quality? Is it as good as the iPlayer's media player?

I'm guessing it's the same one iPlayer uses, which has just been ported to DSTWO without any improvements.
Incase people are more interested on the playback from iPlayer:

Xvid/Divx: Perfect
WMV: Handles small files fine, any bigger and it becomes choppy
MP4: Choppy and unwatchable
MKV: I don't remember if it didn't work alltogether or if it ran really choppy when I tried it the first time.
FLV: Runs small files fine, any bigger and it gets stuck loading it
