I'm not entirely sure about this, but I have a question about the awesome PC game system called onlive. Would it be able to work on the ds? www.onlive.com

I don't know much about it. Other than it basically works kinda like youtube with streaming pc games to your computer. Maybe an app could be made for the ds? I know there is one on the ipad coming soon, (or already launched?)

Another question, the wireless internet I have here at school requires that you type a username and password into a web browser before you can connect to the internet. I know that a dsi can work on this system, and connect to the internet, but would using bnujalloo work this way as well? I tried searching about it, and since I don't know what this protection is called, I couldn't really tell if it would work.

no DS or iPad support, not now or planned

Yes, the browser will use the internet connection you have set up and saved on your DS

thanks for the reply. Are there plans for this thread to be updated with ini files and such for imenu icons? That menu is pretty sweet, but I am really confused as to what to place where, so I can't really set it up.

it's really not that hard to change the ini files

I wonder why spinal doesn't do more to help people who don't understand it yet

after you put all files in their folder, go to ini files and change them like this
this is for appleassult plugin, the ini files should look like this for what ever plugin you want

icon=/_imenu/_images/appleassault-it.bmp
mask=/_imenu/_images/appleassault-it_mask.bmp
name=AppleAssault
file=/_imenu/_plg/appleassault-it.nds

I'm making a tutorial for iMenu right now, it'll be posted in the supercard section within the hour. It's very detailed and simple

Why doesn't NESDS work on the DSiXL? Is this a 'real' issue, or is it something made up to scare people because it's supacool on the big screens? [not intended as spam, real question]

Thanks!

IIRC it MAY be something to do with the fact that the Xl has a 'fixed refresh rate' on the screen(s) that the other DS's don't
I did a post earlier in this thread - you can find it here

There has been no REAL confirmations about any of this - but the warning is just to let people know that there may be a problem running these Emulators on a XL

Whenever I load jEnesisDS as a plugin, it loads fine. But when I load a rom the emulator freezes.

Any ideas for a solution?

First of all, did you load a four megabyte rom like sonic 3d blast? JenDS doesn't support those yet (and likely never will seeing lordus' deal with SEGA)

If THAT's so, try loading a small ROM (like sonic 1) and see if that loads.

If that wasn't it, then try changing your roms to different genesis formats (like .gen, .smd or .bin) and see if filetype is the issue (a program called extension changer does wonders for renaming multiple extensions simultaneously, google it)

If all else fails, try different revisions and see if 0.74 is the issue.

I am no genius at languages, but I think it's supposed to be:

you can download the plug in from the awesome VatoPack which is below in my signature for convenient promotion?

xD

Quick question about plugins.

Some plugins consist only of a single .nds files (besides the image and ini files or course).

So is there any advantage to run them as a plugin coz they seem to run just fine when i put them in my rom list and "play" them like any NDS rom.... It also make for a less clutered initial screen when u have lots of plugins.

lol, yeah, well thx for the quick reply, im doing some testing atm to see if there are any compatibility issue and stuff trying both ways. If there is no difference then its nice that we get the option to do it like we want imo.

There shouldn't be any difference in compatibility, since whichever way you do it, you boot the files on the same cart with the same firmware.
EDIT: typo fix
