Hacking Supercard DSTWO: General Discussion & Questions

How do you save with the Snes emulator? I'm trying to play Lufia 2 and after saving in game I touched the touch screen to bring up the DSTWO menu. I tried touching exit like the website says but I would get no response. I used the D-pad to select exit and this managed to get out of it. However when I try and reload the game there is no save file. What am I doing wrong?

Also where is the save file located once it is created?

i don't have a dstwo card yet, but i've read the review and have some questions:

1. what does "enterlastdirwhenboot" exactly do? it's in the globalsettings.ini file. for example, if my last directory (menu) was "ds_game", then the next time i power up the card, will it enter directly in the nds games menu, bypassing the main menu (the one with the scrolling plug-in icons)?

2. can you skin the in-game menu as well? with all its submenus?

1. when ever i turn off the dstwo it always starts from the same place in ds_game, but you always have to go to the scrolling menu.

did you modified that setting in the .ini file? it has two options, 0 and 1, i'm not sure what's the default, but maybe it's 0 (deactivated).

no i never touched the .ini file, because knowing me if i opened that file i would fuck everything up.

its when you run the ds_game plugin it automatically goes to the folder that contains the last launched nds file

yes, it would be kind of stupid if they didn't.

is it easy to remove the microsd card from a ds2 while having it still plugged into a phat ds? (i hear that the dstwo doesn't go in and out nicely.)

also, i know that the ds phat has a slightly wider gba slot than all of the other models, does it also have a slightly wider ds slot? (aka would the ds2 move around a lot and not stay in place in the slot)

one last thing, you can't run nesds with a dstwo and dsixl, but can you run it when the dstwo is in a phat original?

NesDS is ok on all devices apart from DSiXL and taking it in and out isn't that much of a deal

I have been trying to get hacks working for Pokemon White and have had no success with usrcheat.dat, it shows the cheats and I am running it patched but whenever I enable them either before I start the game or even in the game it still does not work. Is there something I need to do to get this to work or is this a known problem with the dstwo? Other games have the cheats work fine and this is the latest usrcheat.dat. thanks for your input guys.

1. Are you sure pkmn B/W are in the usrcheat database?

2. If you are running a patched rom download a clean on and use it instead

I tried just a clean rom it does not work aswell and they both show up with the cheats.

Disable cheats and run in patch mode, it might work then

Still no luck with that aswell. Is this just a problem I am having or is this known to happen with pokemon games and the dstwo?

Just your problem, try running a different game
if that works download a different dump

just got a DSTWO from shoptemp, and a 16gb microSD.

I'm actually pretty impressed that they give free s+h. Wait time isn't a huge issue for me so I probly saved a lot.

Soo, once I get it, I guess I'll actually be able to play some newer DS games

It's a huge step up from my SLOT2 M3 (Still keepin that for GBA tho).

And SNES looks like It'll be awesome
