Unbelievable

Different gameplay, new models, new textures, new stages, different music, different gamemodes, new artwork, a new roster, maybe perhaps an entirely new direction for smash. You know, one of the most disappointing aspects of smash 4 outside of its awful gameplay was the fact that it reused way too many assets from brawl like character models, character animations, sound effects, and music.

There can be so much done with smash, have some imagination. I'm truly astounded.
"Different gameplay" Yeah, that's called balancing. Nintendo has been doing that with SSB4 and also did it woth MK8DX, which has a metagame nowhere like MK8's.
"new models and new textures" Yeah. No. What the hell do you want? A Mario 3D model with 1 kazillion polygons? And the textures were just fine in SSB4.
"different gamemodes" -> can easily be added by modifying the game like with MK8DX.
"a new roster" It already exists, that's called SSB4 DLC. You don't need to create a whole new game for this.
"it reused assets from Brawl" Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. LMAO :rofl2:
"its awful gameplay" Errr, nope. This gameplay that YOU find awful. Saying something is plain bad just because it's different from what you like isn't really fair. One can argue that Melle's gameplay is harsh and completely broken. But objectively, Smash 4 has found kind of a balance between Melee's speed and Brawl's slowness.
"it reused everything" So yeah, that's how video games work. They won't record whole new sounds that'll sound exactly the same... If they already have high quality material, they'll re-use it.

Oh, and Sakurai won't work on that anyway.

Yeah, that's called balancing.
Gameplay is not synonymous with balancing.
Yeah. No. What the hell do you want?
New models and new textures? lol I just said that.

Or it can be put into a new game which would be a lot cooler, I'm not paying another 60$ for the same shit.

What an awful mentality to have. Don't need it? Sure. Infact, we don't need video games at all. The only things we NEED are food, water and shelter. This isn't about needs, this is about wants. I don't WANT Nintendo to put the bare minimum effort into a sequel, in this case a cheap ass port. I WANT a fresh new game with cool new core gameplay changes, new moves for characters, and other things.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. LMAO
Smash 4 did in fact reuse tons of assets from Brawl like character animations, models, sound effects, and music. Don't know what the fuck you're laughing at.
This gameplay that YOU find awful. But objectively
lol you tell me that's just my opinion but then you tell me that some other dumb shit is a fact?
So yeah, that's how video games work.
Yeah maybe that's how bad video games work, but a good sequel for starters is usually something fresh and new.

I can imagine someone exactly like you saying this same shit about a sequel to Smash 64. "We don't need Melee, they can just add things to 64! So what if its a port, you don't need a brand new game!"

Oh, and Sakurai won't work on that anyway.
Good, maybe Nintendo will get someone talented to do it.

off-topic but I think he's best at making original games like Kirby Air Ride or Kid Icarus Uprising.
Does Kid Icarus get any better after a few hours? I just can't get into it for some reason.

Smash would definitely be a system seller for just about everyone I know. But I don't expect it to happen. Either a port or a new game would be great, but I don't expect it to happen.

So until then, I got smash on WiiU, and that's enough. I'm not going to let myself get hyped by games before they're officially announced (like Pokemon Stars, if that ever happens).

Don't really see a potential smash for the switch happening honestly, sm4sh was such a large scale amazing game itd be really hard to one-up it. Game development is a really tough process, Sakurai and his crew over worked themselves when developing sm4sh and now all of a sudden we expect a new smash that's even bigger than the already huge sm4sh? Its really unrealistic :/ But dream on I guess

Also, it's not a hard coded law or anything but usually nintendo launches smash game every 6-7 years apart. I feel as long as they keep 3ds/wii U online services up smash bros 4 will be here for a while like until 2018-2020. But a port has "Higher" probability of launching as seen with mario kart 8

It fleshes out the characters a lot tho. It's an amazing game that got shit sales because it was pirated to hell
I can see why people love it but it's just not hooking me in, maybe I'll keep going through it.

I looove kid icarus uprising I played it nonstop with friends and by myself, I completed all the achievement boards without using a single feather and beat all the chapters on 9.0 intensity using only some viridi claws. I have so many fond memories with this game I made so many dear friends after joining a kid icarus clan to go against other clans

People are allowed to have different opinions without having a terrible mentality. Also what is disappointing for you might not be for users. For example you seem completely focused on the fact that Nintendo reuse its assets while forgetting that Smash is all about nostalgia. Characters, stages and musics are gonna sound familiar. That's on purpose and thats why people love it.

That said. You want new assets. Okay lets redo Mario assets. You know what it will look like? Mario.
And thats pretty much the case for all Nintendo characters. You're asking to start from scratch, spending time and money on assets that will look the same more or less, new stages, musics and all. It simply makes no sense. The Wii U and Switch have very similar graphical power and so financially it makes 0 sense to rework everything.

You're asking for a smash bros with new content and without the old content just for the sake of not calling this a port. Well in this case it's justified.
We all want new content, some of us would rather just keep the hundred of songs, the good stages, characters and modes, rather than wasting time redoing what already works, and have actual new characters and stages IN ADDITION to what we already have. Unbelievable I think not.

And btw I have no idea why you hate that IP so much. Sakurai managed to add so much content from so many IPs that it at least deserves some recognition for that. A deluxe version would only add more. A brand new Smash would end up being another Street Fighter 5.

haha yeah man, smash 64 is PERFECT !
whats mario with a coulpe more polygons, still mario right xD. it would be a total waste to make a new msash for the gamecube, just add like cloud strife (from final fintasy) or bowser and recolor safron city and call it lavender town yeah thatd be choice
cant wait for smash 64 supercharged edition exlusively for gamebox i love buying the same game over and over again XD

This sarcasm would work if it wasn't trying so hard to avoid the main argument in favor of deluxe version.

As said and repeated, you would not see the difference between a Wii U and a native Switch version because the Switch is only slighly more powerful than a Wii U. You would end up disappointed and it would be hours and hours wasted into that.

I don't know what else there is to say. Nintendo games have not been about showing off graphic superioty since a long time, it wont (and cant) start with the switch, and thats one of the rare decision Im happy with. This endless race for badass graphics from Sony/Microsoft is just getting ridiculous.
