In using the SmashStack from SSBB, do you need the original game or can you do it with a game downloaded and burnt? And if so would a DVD-RW disc work?

You will ned the original game unless you have a modchip. And I don't think you can burn to DVD-RW.

But if you want to get homebrew on your Wii, you don't need to use Smashstack. Just use Bannerbomb.

If you can launch them, yes.

RW discs are not recommended but there is a chance that is works.

I'm trying to unbrick my wii and need something that can boot from the rescue menu so I can install sysmenu Wad

Do you have cIOScorp or a modchip installed? If no then this won't work.

Shouldnt you be able to boot up with the SmashStack from the Rescue Menu without the above mentioned?
