Just remember that the DS doesn't have to render those graphics. The Wii can do the graphics work and stream it to the DS and the touchscreen controls can stream to the Wii from DS.

wtf are you on ?

Its called Hype. Trying to find something to grasp onto to try and prove that it is real even though the facts are slightly tipped the other way.

I know it's fake

What I was saying is the graphics on the DS version are not impossible.

I'll try and make it easier for you to understand young sidney.

The Wii can stream Video to the DS? YES
The DS can send touchscreen controls to the Wii? YES
The Wii does all the graphics calculations and then sends the output to the DS screen for the second player. The DS touchscreen is used to control the second player.

It's been done on the PSP/PS3 and could be done on the DS/Wii quite easily

When was it done on the PSP/PS3!?
Technically, it's possible.. and easy to do.. but I don't think that the DS/Wii WiFi speed is enough for this kind of thing..

Well I'm sure hoping something similar will come up out for the DS. I loved SM64DS and I would love a SMGDS.

I would believe this is a pretty well thought out hoax created by some person out there. Probably working for Nintendo to hype things up around the holiday season xD

It's done on psp/ps3 with the formual 1 game, i think, the ps3 send the data to the psp so u can use the psp as your rear view mirror.

As far as the points for stars thing goes, is it not just we will all get 10 wii points for the 1 extra star we can collect if this is real, not 10 points for all 121 stars.

So, we would have to get 120 stars with mario, 120 stars with luigi, and then maybe, on christmas morning our shiney blue light will be flashing on the front of our wii's and we could do this, wicked!!!!!!

Heres hoping from me anyways.

Also, if fake,
1) he/she somehow extracted or remade the graphics for the "brand new galaxy".
2) he/she hacked sm64ds or reprogrammed a similar game
3) he/she then recreated some worlds for the ds games, or, remade all of the models, and then rendered them to a smaller format.
Don't you remember that "Nintendo Revolution" video, and the "Super Mario Revolution" trailer? It took even more work than this would have taken to do from scratch.

Yeah sure I remember those, but to replicate the wii models so closely is a stunning work in itself

...Or they just made animated 3d scene, rendered it, and played via moonshell. It's pretty easy, you know.

Why everyone compl. about graphics? It's just _really_good_ for DS. Zelda have better textures and 100 times better geo, for example.
Um, you didn't get me. I know how easy it is to create a 3d scene, render it and then play it.

But to make the animated 3d scene, you would have to recreate (replicate) the character models, add an accurate skeleton to it, check so the physics of the game is similar to the real game. Which I might add, is a challenge when the wii images are all encrypted with an encryption not yet broken. You then have to create a whole new level (in which you would have to remodel everything) have it fit with the rest of the game, animate it all to seem legit.

THEN

You come to the DS version, which if freaking me out. Cause here he could have taken two routes:
1. He recreated the whole (or keypoints) of the first galaxy, animated it to be seamlessly, physics yada yada. Basically recreated the interface graphically.

OR:
2. He has acquired the source of Super Mario Galaxy, and re-rendered a movie of the first galaxy with a unique set of events to a resolution of 257x192 of what the h*ll the DS resolution for one screen is.

Basically it comes down to this. It's either:
A: GREAT FAKE, with amazing work put into it and the animator SHOULD reveal himself as I'm sure a LOT of companies would be looking for any animator with his capabilities

B: INSIDER FAKE, someone at Nintendo playing a joke on us all, playing around with the source.

C: HACKER FAKE, someone decrypted the image and somehow extracted the models to use for this fake, THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE because otherwise we would have known about it. and shitgames wouldn't be a 4GB download ;D

D: REAL, but I really doubt that.

Note that the models for Zelda:Twilight Princess have been ripped once before, it wouldnt be out of the ordinary to see it done again, especially if the ripper has good 3D animation skills.

If it was real I am sure someone would figure a way to make a rom out of it. But I honestly doubt it

Nintendo said before that they aren't going to make any games for NIntendo DS for a while so this is definitely fake. Nice fake though, good quality.

The work looks stunning !

I think its a fake too (but no harm in checking for an update on xmas !)

But the guy seems to have thought of almost everything ! even making the graphics look like they should on the DS !

But the stars for points thing lets it down for me ! .. I also think we would have heard more about it by now !

Still no harm in checking !

Maybe it's another masterpiece from legendary Psyco3ler.
You know, the Spanish guy who made the perhaps biggest video game hoax ever; Nintendo ON.
Ah, the memories...
