Thank you. I'll keep that in mind. I'm guessing the peaches secret slide either had animated textures aswell, or was because of the compression? Being in a narc file...i think.. lol. I'll give it another shot on bob bomb battlefield, but the cube had no texturing whatsoever when I did that. I'm fairly new to this, but I was hoping for a way to mod the multiplayer stages (used to do that with NSMB) lots of fun XD

You can import a model via the editor, then open the ROM in Nitro Explorer and export the BMD corresponding to the level where you imported the model. However, MKDS uses a different format for 3D models (the more common, and also more complex NSBMD).
I found the model importer after I posted, lol. I tried importing a simple cube, it loaded fine in the editor, and I saved it. But i tried it in 3 different emulators, and on R4, and it froze (tried it on castle grounds, and peaches secret slide) I wanted to make custom DS download places. As for the mario kart tracks, I'm still trying to find a way to make NSBMD's, but did you look into the KCL files SZS modifier generates? I saw the collision for this was a bit buggy on a youtube video

Making nsbmd's is simple you need Maya 6 (a 3d program) and the nitro plugin ( http://www.mediafire.com/?7z948vtyz39nodl ).

I dunno if your object importer program is finalized yet, but I might have found something to make it a bit easier. Unfortunately, I can't provide you the file- It's part of the NITRO SDK and is copyrighted.

I was looking in it and found a program called bin2obj. I recon that it deals with 3D objects and it might use the same format that your editor works with. Perhaps that could be what could un-bug your custom model importer?

Nah. It's part of their compiler, it has nothing to do with 3D files. Also, no more discussion on that as it's warez.

I should get to code a model exporter. Then reimport an exported model and compare Nintendo's collision map with mine. That may help understanding how they generated the collision maps.

As title says. Now you can edit your levels without using AR codes or whatever cheat

Do not forget to backup your ROM before using the editor on it! The editor is normally stable but we never know.

ROM versions compatible with the editor

* USA (both versions)
* JAP
* EUR

If you have another version, tell me so that I can add support for it.

is there a one for Mac?

HEY! Isn't anyone interested in this anymore?!

I would have thought some news of a full-out hack of SM64DS would be out by now ;_;

For a great hack, some features are missing:
-Minimap editing
-Ground behavior editing
-importing animated textures
-switching music

and some thing I forgot xD

And interest. Super Mario RPG has basically everything able to be edited without any effort, thanks to its detailed and in-depth editor. And no one even notices it.

Despite being a game many, many love.

Sill there is no editor for text from this game? It is possible to edit texBank_U file using a hexeditor?
Anyway is a nice hack;)

I saw this topic its too difficult for me ^^
I found only fonts from this game. And yet.. I would like to find fonts from Metroid Hunters but still - no effect.
Echm.. I don't know wher they are. (but that's off top) sorry for this. I need experts..

We need people making full hacks on SM64DS! Cmon people! The DS is still a good console, unlike the N64 (it was good back then, but to play a romhack, you need a expensive flashcart or a slow emulator [which granted, can be fast on some computers] but you'd still like to play the game on the console it was made for Dx)
