I dont see why nintendo didnt capitalized on the amazing "New Super Mario Bros." on the DS. I know we have hacks but they could have re reased the highest grossing game super mario 3, with DS graphics, or redone the original Super Mario Bros or even 2. sheesh. But hey. Ill play this one. cool.

I go a chance to play this at MCMexpo in manchester 2 months ago and i was pretty impressed actually, the 3D makes a big difference to some of the puzzle aspects of the game and it's a lot of fun to play.

Played it today and was really impressed. The 3D effect is really good and used very well. Controls are spot on too. Found the levels a bit small/short though

Small little update
New streetpass feature that allows you to trade items with other people, though what those items are, are anyone's guess.
(The streetpass feature probably works the same as the GTS from Pokemon P/D/PL)
A special block called named the P-wing block appears to help you out by giving you items to make levels eaisier.
It's most likely activated when there are multiple deaths on a level, or the devs think the level is just plain hard.

Bunch of new info and Boomerang Bro Suit Footage

- rainbow colored note blocks take you to bonus levels in the sky
- worlds have 4 to 5 levels each
- they usually have a castle or ship, and sometimes a Toad House or a Secret Box
- find power-ups in Toad Houses
- Secret Boxes are challenges that have you collecting as many items as possible
- these last for 10 seconds
- pick up coins, power-ups and even Star Medals
- each world also has an additional level to explore if you have enough Star Medals
- three medals in every level
- later in the game these Medals become crucial
- Boomerang Bros. suit lets you toss one boomerang at a time
- take out enemies and pick up items with the boomerang, Star Medals included
- Invincible Tanooki Suit will appear in levels when you fail too many times
- tease of something 'truly classic' that you get when your quest is wrapped up

Well, I've already got 4 games pre-ordered for November (Tales of the Abyss, Cave Story, Shinobi and Sonic Generations), so I can't buy anymore for that month but I might get it on December since it seems rather nice, although I was never that much of a fan of Mario games (besides Mario World for the gb and Mario 64)
