Now hold on guys, I just signed up now to say that it isn't time to be all pessimistic about it. Now I'm no good at translation but I do understand programming a bit, I say that given the fairly recent progression and such, I'd consider it a bit quick to assume the whole thing is dead. We are closer at current than we were before in the past, and really, there is now something to base off of. So I consider it actually now MORE promising that sometime in the near future that a translation will come forth.

That being said, being a fan of the Swordcraft series, I'd love to see a translation as well. Even though I can't do much in the regards of the translation, I can at least say that it won't be a wasted effort with lack of interest.

Well I admit this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtgY6pXlN6M looks very promising indeed... It probably means that (in theory) the game could be fully translated someday... I guess they just need more translators to help out. Unfortunately my two translator friends are working on a different game right now, so it would be asking a bit too much of them >__>

But even if it takes a few years, it would still be awesome if this EVER got translated lol, so no point giving up all hope

EDIT: And yes, I know that video is almost a year old now, but still... T___T

This is probably the final release from me: sncsm3v6.zip

v6 translates the first third of the prologue dialogue. It should
work for both male and female leads, though they say mostly the same
things.

From here the dialogue branches depending on your chosen guardian
beast. It shouldn't be any more difficult, I just don't have the
appropriate text to continue.

Hi Ritchburn, sorry for intruding ya, but i can't download the file.
could ya upload the patch again via megaupload?
or could ya guide me how to download the file?
thx...

On another note, I was thinking of replacing the original japanese text from the text files in the dump with the scripts from http://swordcraftfuntimes.blogspot.com/ Not sure if it would help much but at least the tanslated dump could help find the data to be changed and such easier (I'm not completely sure about this so correct me if I'm wrong). However I still can't find a way to contact the author of that blog :/

everyone please don't let this topic down, really loves craft sword series

can someone recruit NYBcr and make translation project, no offense though.

sorry for bad english.

Project is not dead yet.
There's still at least 2 people working on the patch, either directly or indirectly.

I've been trying to figure out how to message NybCR, but blogger doesn't allow messaging....

Good to have an update after all these months. I look forward to this patch's completion, I really wanted to play this and was disappointed when it wasnt localized

Minor (VERY minor) update.....

Only graphical changes.... which should be finished by end of october (studies ugh!).

(Next Target is Title Menu)

Ritchburn's documentation on text locations and compression was deleted by google....
...thus, ubuntuinside will be looking for text locations in the meantime.

A-HA! Hello there. I usually frequent a different gaming forum, so I hadn't realized the "living" forum for this game was over here. (And probably wouldn't have realized it, if not for the wonderful people who posted a comment on my blog. :P)

Now you can PM me. Isn't that spiffy?

so parakarry64 succes to contact you i suppose, thanks NybCR (for your response)

so did you decided to help parakarry64 n the other mak the patch, didn't you?

once again thanks NybCR n everyone who keep this topic alive.

bad english = sorry.

"Unfortunately not much has been done (aside from a few graphical translations such as names and windows, and changing a bit of text here and there). Progress will be slow (but won't stop) since the font is being replaced (each japanese character will now hold 2 characters) and there are over 1700 possible character combinations. Fortunately there is enough space....but it will take time." parakarry64 said

can someone plz tell me how to get this patch to work??? or at least give me the patched rom??? cause ive been trying to get this to work for the pst 6 hours straight.... srry im a noob +_+ ....

The readme has clear instructions on how to install the patch, you simply use a patcher that can patch ups files like tsukuyomi and let it apply the patch to an unmodified summon night 3 rom.

BTW: sharing roms is not allowed here, just a head's up for next time.

sorry ........ +_+..... n where can i find tsukuyomi??? isn't it an anime or something ??? how's that going to help me open up the ups file???

lol its a patch program too just google tsukuyomi patcher

i did it for you

Hey all. I can't really do much to speed the project up, as I'm not a programmer, or a translator, but I wanted to at least let you guys know that I'm behind you 100%! It would be a real treat if you guys got it done. I know its far off, but like I said, just wanted to let you guys know that there are those of us that are looking forward to it (I even made an account just to tell you all that!)
