Hacking stupid question: how to I get my modded 4.2u to 4.3

I've looked for modded wii upgrade and various other words but I can't find anything. Just information how to mod a 4.3u wii. Would upgrading normally damage anything and then I just hackmii it again with bannerbomb?

there's no good reason to be on 4.3 over 4.2/4.1.

but NUSAD from my signature can help u up/downgrade to 4.3,4.2,4.1 + update your Wii's softmods

well I can't use the wii shop channel. How can I add points to get DLC, if not outright buy a game? Not rhetorically, if I can download the DLC, please educate me.

u can update your shop channel using NUSAD (or other apps) without updating your system menu.

once u get that up and running, u can buy w/e u want from the shopping channel... any other way of getting DLC is piracy... so if u decide to go down that route, you're not gonna get help from me... all I will say is that u can find all sorts of things illegally shared online.

I'm well aware of the piracy part and didn't realize what I was asking, sorry to put you in that position. That being said I wasn't aware I could specifically download the dlc.

Here is how I went about doing it:

1. Use DOP Mii to check and see if you have boot2v4 if not install it
2. Run latest Hackmii installer to install HBC 1.0.8 and Bootmii IOS
3. Run cIOSr20 installer and install cIOS to slot 213 base 38
4. Run Nintendo Update from SM
5. Launch HBC and run DOP Mii, select IOS213 to use and delete the stub IOSes in slots 222,223,249 and 250
6. Run cIOSr20 installer using IOS213 and install cIOSes to the slots/bases of your liking.
7. (Optional) Install Priiloader and enable hacks.

While I am not going to comment one way or another on if and why you should/shouldnt update these are the steps using the minimal amount of programs needed to have an up to date SM, IOSes and Channels.

Sure there is. It's fun to mock Nintendo's security.

At least, that's why I'm on 4.3.

But if you want just the system menu, you can install an IOS80 from NUSD or NUSAD, then install System Menu 4.3. Though I'd make sure you have the hombrew channel already around and with the latest update to avoid deletion. That, or install priiloader right after you install that, and have it run hacks to take care of the deletion.
