I've tried analogblock and joysens to try and solve this issue. I have a PSP that registers inputs from the stick (or possibly the dpad but I doubt it) when there's nothing being pressed. I'll try to navigate the XMB and it just flicks around like i'm wildly moving the analog stick. I took it apart and replaced the stick hardware with one from another psp, and the problem is still happening. Are there any contacts that could've gotten dirty that I could just clean? I can't figure out why this is happening.

It's probably your dpad, analog stick doesn't work on XMB IIRC.

maybe the flex are bad already, It's time to replace it. It's fairly cheap anyway.

This happened to me and I just moved the analog stick around and it fixed the problem, I think there is something really wrong there.
