Gaming StreetPass Glitch?

before this glitch i had 12 people in my streetpass population (4 special 8 regular) while i was riding home in a car, i had my 3DS in my pocket on. when i opened the 3DS up in my house, it said i had 93 people. the worst part is, it ONLY displayed thier name and when i got them. i also could not use them on streetpass games. so basicly, thier just useless. any ideas why this happened?

Not sure the exact reason for you, but there's a setting in StreetPass Mii Plaza that lets you "invite" Miis from other games. I know MK7 is compatible with this, cause I have a couple thousand Miis in my plaza thanks to Mario Kart--everyone I race gets added to the plaza. So it's probably something similar to that for you.

Yep, it's most likely because of Mario Kart. It adds tons of Miis you play with to the plaza, but since they are not from Street pass you cannot use them in the Streetpass games.

it has to be mario kart, that thing gave me 3000+ miis and now i cant find my gold bottomed ones among them T_T

Wouldn't that be SpotPassing, though?
I thought StreetPass was strictly tagging them locally.
I got this while driving, so..

OH OH OK, try going to your mario kart channel, its possible you werent able to tag the guy but had just enough time to exchange mk7 data,
