Homebrew still no working GC adaptor on the vWii ?

Just wondering if there was ever a work around using the GC controller adapter on the wiiu/vwii to play brawl and stuff. I see theres a wiimote adapter i can buy but it has mixed reviews. Also would anyone know if i install a custome Wii game inject of Brawl to my wiiu would the pro controller work on it? I seen videos on youtube of people using the wiiu pad but thats it.

It is possible although currently disc only at this time (https://gbatemp.net/threads/need-help-with-vwii-gc-adapter-for-project-m.498236/page-12#post-8405291). No progress has been made on USB Loader Support since Nov 2018, but I would recommend following the thread linked above since there is active development happening! Crossing my fingers that we will soon have a solution to play Brawl/Project M and MK/MK mods without the disc.

EDIT: Pro controller would not work, only gamepad.
