I think he is referring to a USB Loader for booting gamecube games. At this time no. Many think it's not possible but there are a lot of smart people out there so you never know.

Nothing is impossible, but as far as I understand the main technical hurdle is that when in GC mode the Wii cannot access any of the Wii specific hardware. No bluetooth, no SD card, and most importantly, no USB.

It may be technically possible at some time in the future, but I think most devs are more interested in 100% Wii game compatibility, better brick protection, etc.

yea as far as i know i only accesses the gc memory card and disables access to other hardware.
thats why you need a memory to save instead of using the Wii's internal memory.
