PS1/2 Stepmania on a modded PS2?

I looked around a bit and wasn't able to find anything helpful. So I was wondering if it's possible to play Stepmania on a PS2 with FMCB or SwapMagic? And I know there's the USB adapter for controllers to plug into the PC, but if there's a way that I don't have to buy something from the interwebs it'd be easier for me. So, is this possible, or just a strange dream?

Also minorly relevant (or possible solution)... Is it possible to mod a DDR ISO to put SM songs on it?

You can run linux on PS2 (possible I have not tried tough) and run linux version of stepmania. Its just to you to try it. let us know if you got it working
it will work on a ps3 i am sure also...

I also just got an In the Groove ISO, which I've been told is hackable... buuuuuuut, not sure how. Any ideas?
