Games on Steam are compiled for x86 computers. The 3DS is ARM. x86 to ARM conversion is not great, and the 3DS is already pretty weak. There was also a way to emulate Windows 9x on the new 3DS a while back, but it could only barely handle moving the cursor around the desktop. There's no way it can handle any actual games, especially ones for more powerful computers.

you stole my line

also if the 3ds browser cant even get discord open im p sure steam wont work

Would 3ds be able to run steam so we can play steam games? No
Can some simple games on steam be ported to 3ds so we can play them? Yea if they are simple enough for 3ds to run

Some games on Steam have their source code publically available (or some MacGuyver'd version of it). Depending on the exact game in question, you could port that to 3DS. As for Steam as a whole, hard no.

you can port maybe really old games to the New 3ds with alot of work, and really more of a clone, since a lot of games are closed source.

Getting steam on the (new) 3ds isn't possible, you can stream to your 3ds, but that's pretty much as far as it's going to go.

Also I have to wonder if this is a troll or not tbh ngl
