May someone please test out super Smash Bros Brawl (DVD9 NTSC) for me I keep getting a white screen and then the Disc Can Not Be Read after the loading screen

I'm wondering if Im the only one having this problem. Maybe I should install a higher version of CiosCorp. What is the difference between 1.1 and 2?

SSBB DVD9 works fine on CIOSCORP v2.

I dont think so, because i compared the softmii files to ones i got earlier and they're the same.

Hmm..I have no clue what to do. Still no luck CIOSCORP v2 plus cios 60 for 4.0, which all worked fine on 3.2 (w/out cios 60) for playing HOTD Overkill.

It could be your Wii suffers from the "Dirty-Lens" Problem that occurred when SSBB first came out. I have tried every soft mod out there and no backup of SSBB DVD-5 or DVD-9 or even Retail Discs work on my Wii. No soft mod can fix my Wii, I'd have to send it to Nintendo for repair, which is free, but I'm too lazy to clean up all the soft modding before sending it back.

I have tried every soft mod out there and no backup of SSBB DVD-5 or DVD-9 or even Retail Discs work on my Wii. No soft mod can fix my Wii, I'd have to send it to Nintendo for repair, which is free, but I'm too lazy to clean up all the soft modding before sending it back.

for all of that i might as well repair the lens myself BUT before I crack open my one and ONLY Wii I'm going to try CiosCorp 2 and if that doesnt work... I'll buy a lens cleaner from Game Crazy... then when all else fails, I'll crack open my drive.

The CIOSCORP that comes with softmii is V1, I've only seen V2 in MiiWii

I've also noticed that the IOS's up to 22 in CIOSCORP V2 are still CIOS 36 r7 and not r8 everything above 22 is packed with r8

It's probably due to the IOS's below 22 actually being CIOS 36 r7 installed as IOS xx unlike the IOS's above 22 that actually have the DIP module injected into them - i.e. whoever packed V2 didn't know how to rewrite the CIOS installer to install CIOS 36 r8 to the other IOS slots

Damn..that sucks. You could also use the DVD 5 version of it. IT works relatively well besides the cutscenes.

Overkill works fine... thats using the CiosCorp found in the package provided from softmii.com

The PAL version doesnt work.
I get a black screen.

When I try to run the USA one, I get that problem.
As soon as I select it in the HBC, the screen fades to black and the system freezes.

Wonder what's different on mine, as opposed to the people who are having this work.

I've created a guide for going from 3.2-3.4 to 4.0 including disc channel loading with the help of this fine app and was wondering if anyone would like to test it out/give feedback on it.

This isn't a softmii, I'm not trying to make a name for myself... nor am I going to take any credit or setup any donations. Just figured I'd make a simple guide and a collection of apps necessary to do the whole process.

If anyone does, drop me a PM and I'll send you the link. All input is appreciate and it should work on NTSC or PAL wiis.

Hmm. My DVD5 version of brawl won't read from the disc channel............and I know for sure the lens is working great. It read when I had preloader on back on 3.2......
