Nice ! It will be way easier to transfer data. I'll try it as soon as my work/children allow me to.

How is your UI experince ? I stick to 128, but are 512mo helping ?
Did you used the overclocking ?
Did you tried any game so far ?

Great PoC and work. Remember everyone, Starcraft (original + broodwar) is free, from Blizzard Activision. Windows 95 and 98/SE have default CD keys that work. They aren't difficult to remember or hard to find.

For those having fun with this kind of thing, I first found this outstanding ARM port of Starcraft
    https://pyra-handheld.com/boards/threads/starcraft.73844/

I tried to modify the sh files to execute the launcher, but it seems that PandoraOS is based on Debian and not compatible with Ubuntu...

Considering it is reverse engineering, it should be theorically possible de recompile the 10Mo file for L4T...And run Starcraft natively ! :toot:

    Any code genius around ?

Now I'm intrigued. I'll have a look when I'm back from hols.

But before, my goal is still to have Fallout running a smooth as possible on the Switch :)

I know no one gives a shoot, but DUNGEON KEEPER runs like a charm !
I'll try to post the video tomorrow.

Now I can rule my dungeon from anywhere

    Edit: Another ugly video

Again, more playable than it seems, I just lack a third arm.

    Today's new tests:
    - W98 SE is too old to run RedAlert2 and Yuri's Revenge
    - Tiberian Sun launches, good sound, playable but too choppy to be enjoyable...
    - Warcraft 2 doesn't launch

    Black day...

This thread should be named Starcraft on Linux on Switch (). It's not the first time I get abused by this kind of title. It's really disturbing to start read something you don't care about in the end :/
But well done (edit: for running it!).

    Dang, I abused someone !
If I may add more precision, it should be:
Starcraft on Windows98 Second edition with DirectX5 via Qemu on Linux Ubuntu L4T through Hekate launched with SX dongle on the my children's Switch covered with strawberry jam.

And the () is because I am idiot and don't know how to edit title.

Sorry again for your few minutes loss of reading.
But for something native, you're welcome to check this one https://pyra-handheld.com/boards/threads/starcraft.73844/

Yes it's annoying to lose time for that, It happen far too often.
I owned the pandora and i know she ran starcraft, as well as diablo, and other good things. But the pandora and the pyra are by design running linux. The switch is running HOS by design.
If you do not see the difference, well. You are not the first nor last that will do it.
Sad world :) Just this day I got borred by yet another misleading title in the internet world you know :)

Yes, and Qemu is far better than dosbox for running Windows.

    Was Pandora any good ?
I was considering buying one while waiting for SmachZ, but it seems still quite overpriced for a 2010 console.

I also found it a little expensive initially but in the end I have not to complain. It is a kind of wild device and some of the software on it have been really optimized and all. Devs put their heart inside and i was able to develop on it as well with no problem hacking it because it's open source. A good device if you like tweaking the system too. At this time I was on a pandora related irc channel and meet some user in real life (some of us were living in Paris). For all that it was very good. It was no a problem but the build quality overhall was not that good. Good to play all games up to dreamcast. PSP was a bit tricky as well as surfing over internet. But it worked :)

Alright, I'm back. Time for some tests.

One thing I didn't realise is that the joycons don't work :/

    I've ran the following command:

    sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-joystick

and then paired them but nothing. Any clue on what to do?

    Salut camarade,

The installation command has to be run once (restart ubuntu to activate it), but the pairing has to be done everytime you restart the console.
You have to activate them through the bluetooth icon, hit the + icon, then hold the pairing button on the joy cons.

Once the two joycons are paired, click L+R to activate the mouse.
