In today's Nintendo E3 Direct, Star Fox Zero was officially announced. Check out the vid below to see some gameplay.

Indie games are just trying to imitate the games back from the 80's and 90's so that's what they're supposed to look like. As such, your comparison is invalid, Hikari.

I'm tired of Indie developers copying games from my times because if I really want that, I'll just play them than theirs.

Well, sorry it doesn't live up to your expectations. Just because they CAN make the graphics amazing doesn't mean they have to. Hell, look at a lot of indie games out now, like Minecraft, Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, Terraria, FTL, The Escapists, those games could look a hell of a lot better without making people need super-high end graphics cards, but they don't, because they have a personal art style they like to use, because they find it fitting. I mean, look at the Call of Duty franchise as a whole, the games have great graphics, but their gameplay is unvaried and bland. Then, look at Metroid Prime 2: The graphics are somewhat dated about now, but the gameplay is fresh, varied, and challenging. Graphics alone don't make a good game.

That's my opinion and I respect your opinion. It doesn't mean you are right or I am right. We have a different point of view. No need to say sorry because you disagreed with me. Nothing to do with disagreed and agreed at all. We listen to each others for the opinions. Thank you.

Yea, and I'm sick of Nintendo trying to throw as much NES era stuff they can in Wii U too, N64 era was when video games caught my attention.

Anyway, regarding the SFZ graphics, I just want them to fix the laser beams. The rest looks great

Besides the graphics, I really hope they'll have online play because it'd add tons of replay value to it after the story mode's finished.

Yea, I heard the story is meant to be only as long as a movie so I'd like to at least have some 8 player action for the extra $60 NZD than I would've spent on a blu ray disc.

It makes me sad that nintendo has this toybox of video game IPs and only plays with the popular 5 once ever 10 years or so. Not only should Star Fox (along with FZero, Mario, Link, and Metroid) be printing their own currencies by now, there's huge possibilities of crossovers. Just do like comic books do. Take the toys out of the box, play with them (making a game for the current console) and put them back for the next few years. Never mind that there are 25 some dead IPs that nintendo could be milking on a scheduled rotation.

That said

Im glad we are getting a new Star Fox. Lets hope they broke both his legs and tossed him in an Arwing for good this time.

What, 1h30m only? That's too damn short and even The Order 1886 lasted longer, so hopefully it's at least 8hrs to 12hrs.

I can see F-Zero becoming part of the Metroid franchise or at least a crossover. F-Zero is a unexplored trove super heroes, super villains, courier drivers, police, doctors, cyborgs and bounty hunters and all we've seen them do so far is a popular pastime. I want a game where I can Falcon Punch Black Shadow in the face.

Oh I agree. I would LOVE an FZero spin off that functioned like an arcade PvP figher or a Street Fighter clone of some kind. There are some many things Nintendo could be doing with their IPs, but only experiment lightly with Mario and Zelda (franchise). :sadbortz:

everyone seems focused on the graphic quality, I'm more concerned about the limited flying area.

In the E3 demo (especially the one near the circular space station), the area seemed very limited and the player was often forced to do a half-turn to go back to the playable zone.
So, either they often played near the edge of the map, or the maps are small.
Maybe it's only an impression I had and the game plays fine without confinement feeling.
