I had the same problem with Mario Kart. Just put the wii flat, and then put it back to stand mode.

Putting it flat? Why?

I mean: put the wii like that:

Sorry for empty space, but it won't let me to show ASCII skills there.
and then it should don't make noise. It SHOULD. And it not break your DVD drive, how?

It shouldn't degrade the drive more than a normal game should. It's only making those noises due to the reasons mentioned before, SSBB just reads a lot more data from the disc than most games. I have a real copy and it makes heaps of noise when it's loading stuff.

Assuming you've got a "backup" copy of the game, there is no definitive proof (AFAIK) of non-nintendo media degrading your drive faster than a real game.

Well my Wii was making noise whan I had it in stand mode. Then I putted it flat and it was fine. But I realised yesterday it wasn't the Wii but whole desk that was moving when wii was reading disk. I know, quite impossible, but when I putted wii flat it wasn't making noise.

Mine started to make a weird noise during the loading of SSBB two weeks ago. After more than 8 month of intensive usage. I willl update my yaosm 1.9 to 2.0 (wich set the drive speed) and report if it fix anything...

Lol yeah, my desk also moves when it's singing "brrrrrrm"... It just makes the noise louder, because it looks like it's jumping very fast up and down on the desk, so that makes a hell of noise.
