It was just because i heard that 1.9g was a beta and sometimes (not common anyway) gave problems. I'll go update btw.I got 1.9g on mine, I think it uses the same "protection" as Galaxy did, so why not update?

So when you get dual channels your wii is semi-bricked? Can you guys still go to your wii settings?
And can you remove the dual channels, or are they on your wii forever?
Oh and is there coming an update to possible skip the japanese update in a later stage?

1. No, people have confirmed it's not semi-bricking consoles.
2. No current way to remove the duplicate channels.
3. The update will be needed for the proper release as it seems to enable dual-layer support. The only way to avoid it completely is to wait for your region's release date.
im gonna get the SL because:wait for the DL torrentso now...we need a savegame

Let's say you update your US Wii to Japanese to play Brawl. Then a new US game eventually comes out, and needs an update. Wouldn't it remove the Japanese update and make it full US/remove the duplicate channels?
u tried this or it was a tentative?burn 2 discs, one with brickblocker, update to 15 % pull the plug, then put in the brick blocked one, and itll work without double channels
