If it breaks does the card have to be scrapped or can you just put the SD card in without the spring working? I just ordered an R4 and if the spring goes I'm hoping it is a simple fix.

my spring kinda stopped working, and i was able to just manually slide the sd card out. Then it kinda fixed itself, so its all good!

If you just bought it, go get a new one

I did, and it works now. I wonder for how long...

Mines has mood swings, Its like 2 weeks old.

Sometimes It works find some times I have to press it in abunch before it locks down.. hasn't become much of a problem yet, when It does I'll just remove the spring.

It's quite easy to pull the spring out, so don't worry about it. And the spring on my R4 broke on the first day. My second R4 has been working for several months without a problem though.

One thing I do want to know is that for everyone who had a spring problem, how long did it work for before it became a problem?

^^ only 4 weeks

Umm the question should be, HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU *REMOVE* THE M-SD CARD BEFORE THE SPRING BROKE.

If someone ejects it 10 times a day, for 4 weeks, it's going to be differrent than if someone has ejected it 10 times in 4 weeks, and broke it.
On average I say I eject it about 5 times a day. 7 months and still working fine.

Mine broke after like, 2 weeks. Didn't remove spring yet, just too lazy.

Although I think that the actual lock broke. When I insert the card, it just launches out like 5 metres. So I have to tape it, and have to untape and tape again when I wanna put some new stuff on...
