Melee had movies and content and it was fitted on 1,4gb disc. i'm pretty sure that they can fit brawl on 4,5 gb or so. but who knows.
Plus you can add Ness, Ganondorf, Jigglypuff, and Sonic. We know about those three at this point and they just haven't popped up yet.

First off, the difference here is all of Melee's movies were cropped and short gameplay things. All of Brawl's are full screen FMV and there are a ton of them. It's all motion and music and nothing more. No speaking though the story is still very easy to understand.
thats good, because that means people who don't know Japanese can still do the story without missing anything.
