I have a problem, so it was announced that NA was going to have a splatfest, and I live in NA but I never got the special news that a splatfest has arrived. Is it just that it wasn't actually announced in game yet or can the fact that I've used TCPGecko on my Wii U affect it in some way?

If you change all the gear ID's to 00006D61, your headgear will become the Elite Octoling Goggles, and your Clothes and Shoes will have nothing, just a weird placeholder image of a Splat Bomb, which has Damage Up Subs.
Attempts to go to the testing area will result in a crash.

well that's because it instantly loads a stage, and it accounts for your weapons and such.

Format your save, or quickly run a pygecko script to restore it to weapons that make sense.
