Afaik messing with an item's main ability will get you hit with the banhammer guaranteed, so just stick with subs
I don't actually use Splathax so I have no clue what you're talking about in regards to that

Atm the easiest way to get snails is through pygecko/tcpgecko

You can't edit main abilities, they're hardcoded into the game. Also, the reason the exploits are crashing you game is probably because you used the wrong exploit. Also, if you're using splathax, why would you need snails?

That requires cafiine modding, which is not currently open to the public GBATemp members, as we don't want everyone hacking and getting banned

Not related to modding, but wasn't there a Splatoon update some days ago? I updated using NUS Grabber and despite some file changes the game size (1.95GB) didn't change. Wasn't there new content or is it locked as DLC? Thanks.

There was new content, Sheldon's Picks Vol.2, Two near pieces of gear, The CoroCoro Hat & Hoodie. Also ( assumption ) I'm pretty sure data for the Callie & Marie amiibos was put in, as well as the data for the recolored base amiibos.
