Nintendo revealed the release date for Splatoon 3 today and aired a new trailer for the occasion, showcasing the Turf War gameplay:

they release a new Call of Duty or Battlefield yearly, I don't think releasing a new Splatoon five years after the last one is that egregious.

Xenoblade 3 IS the summer release. This is probably why they pushed Xenoblade 3 from September to july. Splatoon probably needed a bit more time.

Yeah, I mean I bought the first two + DLC, but won't be going for this anytime soon if ever. Maybe this strategy will still work out for Nintendo though. I'm curious how the sales figures will look compared to Splatoon 2 and still hope it at least lives up for the diehard Splatoon fans.

Wasn't the original Arms kind of quickly forgotten about? They're gonna make an Arms 2? Huh.

That game felt like a polished clone of Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi/Xenoverse and I enjoyed it, but it did get repetitive.

Cloud saves are supported. but only for offline data (from the Nintendo eShop page). That most likely means anything involving the single-player modes, and others that don't involve online play, it seems.
