Hacking Question Splatoon 2 Amiibo Gear

I have scanned my amiibos for splatoon 2 and I have been given headgear. I have also scanned them at every level up to 6 so far but im not recieving anymore gear. I have also saved my gear to the amiibo but it still does not give it, i have restarted my game 4 times now.

Question isn't really related to this thread? but it's either a bug or a feature.

After a couple of seconds googling thuis came up:

You unlock the gear at the following levels

Level 1: Head
Level 6: Chest
Level 9: Feet

After reaching those levels, just activate your amiibo and the NPC will give you that piece"


So only three pieces available.
I don't have the game So don't know it its true.

I'd just say level up some more. I scanned my Amiibo first when I was Level 1 to get all the headgear, and again once I was Level 11 and they just gave me the rest of it. So there's no real loss from just carrying on and trying to scan later for them.

I unlocked the chest pieces at level 7 and then the shoes at level 8. Seems kinda random

I wonder if we can not modify the data of the amiibo, to obtain equipment and the bonuses that we want?

What Amiibo are you using? It is slightly different for the S2 and S1 ones, I think, and also for Cal and Mar. I didn't figure out the pattern, just that they go into these three groups and that everything should be unlocked by level 14 for all the amiibo (possibly earlier though, also assuming you've finished the main game for the cousins to even show).
