You won't get anything more than what we already have from a game exploit I'm afraid. In fact we'd get less. Goes into the pile of dozens of things that could possibly be used to trigger a kernel exploit but is useless on its own.

Yeah he's basically at the point of just ripping the OS apart trying to find any possible way to compromise the kernel. Which really it comes down to how much it differs from the Switch 1. We know that OS is completely free of any kernel exploits as of version 7.X

He's dumping ram and his method of displaying that is via capturing images being sent over HDMI.

Switch 1 pro with CFW (aka Switch 2 hacked for Switch 1 CFW) coming soon? Need access to SD card and I suppose game don't have access, happy for a few minutes and that is all.

Maybe it is just one Switch 2 game running on PC.

It was definitely just the ram according to his tweet. The full binary must have been in memory at the time of capture

even though he said "game binary" without specifying what it exactly was, so if he didn't specify, it could really be the game binary of the game in question

Even if this ever gets hacked, the only way I will get a switch 2, is if I can get it around $250 or less. I just feel like if it ever gets hacked, if there isn’t one already available right now after switch 3 release, it might be revealed or whatever they call it, that would be a decent price to get a used switch 2.

For those who don't know games like xenoblade 2 switch 2 edition share the same save file with the switch 1 version. It does not clone it and make it a switch 2 only save file. Thus by cloud save transferring to a switch 1 you can edit the save file and mess with switch 2 specific content. Then transfer the save back to your switch 2 and play with the modded save file. Thus you could get a exploitable save file into a switch 2 edition.


Or is their a switch 2 game out there that is exploitable as is not external save file shenanigans required.
