I don't think this is something that you have to worry about as an average user.I've disabled my wifii for now thanks for the info

thats what I'm saying to prevent updates jicI don't think this is something that you have to worry about as an average user.
This is possibly a good thing. There's basically no way for somebody to randomly infect your Switch 2 - this is for hacking the console.
I don't know what "jic" is, but fair enough. I figured you were scared of it being a security problem.thats what I'm saying to prevent updates jic
jic is just in case ( another different thing would have been jc: Jesus ChristI don't know what "jic" is, but fair enough. I figured you were scared of it being a security problem.
Now I see what you mean, you're hopeful that the flaw will lead to opening up the system and you don't want the eventual security update. My bad.
That makes sense. I've never seen it abbreviated before, so I thought it was an insult, or a slur, lol.jic is just in case ( another different thing would have been jc: Jesus Christ).

my thought is MKW is an entry point (save game?)) could be a weakness in the security in 20.1.1 to allow running a patch to disable secure boot and thus enable unsigned code ((think of it like b9s for the 3ds where it runs before security checks and disables them (maybe sigpatches won't be required since the security chain will be compromised, also pretty sure that rop chain userland mmay be the way to install the exploit/save game (if it is one)I may be a dumb as a stick, but i can’t make any relation between MKW and the things that happens before secure boot. Especially validation anything in PSC
Here's something to get people's hopes up for no good reason:
He won't name his source but apparently someone has found an exploit that Nintendo is investigating. No idea what to make of this but I wouldn't put much stock in it right now.

It'll be hacked, it's just a matter of when. I don't expect it to be soon but maybe this is real.
I believe the guy who found the userland exploit mentioned using a save exploit too, so possibly Switch 1 to Switch 2 transfer, but it's impossible to say more right now.
Hey, it's a speculation thread after all. I just figured someone might get a kick out of this supposed news.
Maybe he‘s talking about injecting code before running the game. Run the MKW game and inject the code before loading it.Trust me bro kind of hack?
EDIT: Also the context makes no sense. Injected an exploit before the boot loader but mentions Mario Kart World? Like what?
well it all sounds like balony so far... especially since nothing really interesting have been announced on the Hackerone.Maybe he‘s talking about injecting code before running the game. Run the MKW game and inject the code before loading it.
Yep. Don’t trust random sources, peoplewell it all sounds like balony so far... especially since nothing really interesting have been announced on the Hackerone.

The attack that works on the Switch 1 will almost certainly not work on Switch 2. Nvidia and Nintendo have most certainly examined the modchips and devised counter measures. It has nothing to do with the chip lithography or size.Hi, I'm just wondering.
We have already seen teardowns of the switch 2.
Does anybody know if a kind of hard mod that was design on the switch 1 would be feasible on the switch 2 or will it be harder due to the fact that switch 2 might have a smaller engraving ?
