Gaming Space Invaders Extreme

This is driving me nuts now!

It starts off the same as 5-A and 5-B bosses with the bouncing balls, then the thing showers you with lots of lasers.

However in 5-C you then get 3 smallers aliens around the boss firing those annoying multi-directional lasers. Do I need to shoot the smaller first or just avoid thier lasers and shoot the main boss?

I only ever get to the boss 1 out of 20 attmepts (I'm dreading 5-D!) so want to know what to do so I can get right into it!

I've got Guitar Hero waiting for me to play - but I can't even think about that till I've completed SI:E!

Im frustrated at this as well.
5-D is frigging impossible (played it on japanese version).

I think such levels were designed to be played with the paddle controller (it makes the game easier, i heard).

nicklessguy - how did you pass 5-C?! Hit the smaller ones or keep fire on the big one?!

I didnt. I have the same problem. Hardly ever reach boss, and get owned when i do.
In the Japanese i could open 5-D right away before finishing 5-C.
I think the level choosing system works diferently than the USA one, since in this one i can only change a path after i finished each branching level at least once.

Done it!

5-C boss
Step 1 - avoid/shoot the balls while killing main boss
Step 2 - avoid the shower of vertical lasers while shooting at the main boss
Step 3 - stay central as the boss drops to bottom screen and keep shooting him
Step 4 - he moves to top screen, and the 3 smaller angled lazer aliens join him, shoot the ones to the left and right first
Step 5 - after a few moments (what seems like hours!) the 3 smaller aliens come to the bottom screen and the boss shoots the ball fire (which when you hit turn into angle fire) keep shooting the smaller aliens till they're all dead
Step 6 - shoot big boss while avoiding all fire and eventually he dies!

Now onto 5-D... Will let you know if I ever get there nicklessguy!
