@wurstpistole

I figured out whats going on. The version you are linking to in your thread is the one that was modified to not load the arm9 thread (why the file is still there idk), but that is why it doesn't patch the version string. That is handled by the arm9 thread.

The files I am going to PM you have the thread enabled.

Ah well, if it's the same as everyone else that can't be helped. I used @wurstpistole guide, so it autoboots via cfg configuration. It doesn't seem to have a splash screen but that wouldn't bother me either way - https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...cluding-emunand-coldboot-cia-installer.405589

Which would you prefer? Splash or no Splash?

The image will likely only stay up for about a second.

Sorry I wasn't sure why you were asking me in the first place :P Do I need a custom built version now or something? I just use whatever @wurstpistole posts in his guides normally. I guess whatever is easiest to create? I honestly do not mind.

Thanks, gonna switch it out later. Mabe in a hour or two. Does it really make a difference though with the arm9 stuff?

I've all all three options readily available to post for you, so whichever you want I will link.

Its what handles the version string patch, screen shots, and ram dumps. Might be something else, not sure.

Okay thanks. I'll take no splash screen then as that seems to be what I have just now.

Well do what you feel is best, but i'd rather this thread not derail for drama. Also who said i dont care what the community thinks? i go to work and school full time. It wasnt until recently i was able to even look at the code again.

@Reisyukaku

It's all drama since 10.3 hacks/downgrades where announced! think of all those thousands of ppl who see a door open to use cfw etc..., (ok it was also (almost) all drama before but it was fading out a bit with all the same ppl on 9.2 )

Ok, that aside :)
Your CFW is great, most love it (it's not the easiest to compile :P, still getting errors) but like said, if you're not happy with ReiNand, nobody forces you to use it, there another option and others will follow, so Reisyukaku, even if you make it for your own and shared it with us and refuses certain options to include, i'm one of the happy users that respect your look at it, we can suggest things or argue about certain options and i know you care about user input, but in the end if you refuse we have to respect that. So keep going doing your stuff, it's your thing!

Now can i ask for that option we discussed about letting ReiNand send a signal to my electronic footwarmer as soon as it boots so i can have warm feets in my bed while enyoing Emunand 10.3? FootCFW has it but i really don't like it!
Just a question, but i really would love that :P

It means you are like every other N3DS user who downgraded. Incomplete downgrade because the 9.2 update package doesnt account for factory installed titles that got updated after 9.2. Since you are able to get into CFW with no issues I wouldn't worry about it for now.

Do you want your reinand to autoboot? With or without the splash screen?

I didn't have any problem with the downgrade to 9.2 and I can launch every hb (I didn't have problem launching the version you gave me yesterday, no problem with browserhax and everything else.)
Is it really the case for everyone? Do you have a list of titles that may have been downgraded? (My 3DS was in 9.5E when I first launch it, and at the time I updated to 9.9 to download Ironfall)

It seems to be very hit and miss. I can confirm that there are two titles that are updated at some point between 9.3 and 10.3 that are not present in the 9.0/9.2 update packages. Not 100% certain but judging by the names of titles with similar IDs, they are probably CFA files, but what data is contained is an unknown to me. In addition, I am finding that some 9.0 systems shipped with a stub title for the amiibo settings and some did not have anything installed for that ID, but the amiibo settings title does get updated at least once between 9.3 and 10.3.

0004009B00010802 v2050
000400DB00010402 v4098

Those are the two titles in question and the versions that SHOULD be present on a 9.0/9.2 system.

The amiibo settings title varies based on region.

Oh well, I guess we don't have a way to fully downgrade it because Nintendo did not include the files in the update package...

You can grab the titles in question from a 9.0 or 9.2 package for the O3DS and then add them to your updates folder before running the downgrade. They are universal, the same title is installed to both O3DS and N3DS and for all 6 regions.

If you're interested, I made a small mod: I removed the arm9 thread entirely (no version patching, or screenshots/RAM dumps - HANS does screenshots better, anyway), and made it autoboot (it boots to sysNAND if L is kept pressed). So just emuNAND and signature patches. No splash screen is displayed either, it boots as fast as it can :D
http://www73.zippyshare.com/v/pCv459vf/file.html
(On my n3DS, I found that the "autobootfix" value in CTR Boot Manager's conf.cfg must be set to 120 for a perfect boot rate).
Is this also on Github? If so, I think it should :). Reisyukaku is working on v3.0 now, though, so this may be outdated pretty soon.

I'm already on 9.2, what should I do to properly finish the downgrade? (sysupdater 3DSX with the missing files in the updates folder is ok?)
