Hmm..did anyone here try listening to music on their R4? Is it any good?
Like, I understand you just drag and drop, then you go to MoonShell..but how is it there?

Also, do the batteries drain out faster while listening to music? :\
I just wanna put on a couple songs for bus rides and such.

It works great. Yes, the battery goes down faster. Well, duh, if you have the sound on it uses more power. It wouldn't really be significant if you use headphones though.

Well if have the display turned off while listening to music then the batteries should last longer than if you were playing a game with the sound off. In short, the LCD probably consumes more power, depending on the level of brightness vs the sound volume. You shouldn't have a problem getting through the day on a charge though really.

when i use LMP (Lick's Media Player), i can close the DS and you can still here the music if you use headphones. so you can use it like an real mp3 player. the display goes out too for saving power.

Music on the R4 is good, one of the main reasons I use my DS. (Gaming, music and videos)
I made a folder called music, that's where I drop my music. Kinda like a playlist.
The batteries drain faster on an R4, regardless of what you're doing. Use headphones, conserve power.

LMP is good too. But I like Moonshell a little more, just cuz there is a screensaver.

I listen to music PERFECT on my R4DS. I use the latest version of LMP, and have quite a few songs in there. They all work fine, and LMP allows the bypassing of the max sound in the DS, so you can listen to your songs even louder. Just plug in your headphones, and it sounds beautiful

Moonshell also allows pictures... I think it overall is very nice and all-around. I only had two freezes with it, both were from too much movement. (Basically, running with it. s: )

I don't even use Moonshell at all. The only reason I would ever use it is for videos, but the .dpg converting system is SO hard to understand! I had to install like 3 different programs and I kept getting errors @__@ Ew.

NDS has awful sound for listening to music

I spose it depends what type of music you're listening to though.

Headphones are fine, but at low volumes there is a bit of noise... well, I guess that's natural unless said portable device has incorporated High-Def Audio, which I know is not portable.

Normal speaks are fine, I guess, at half volume or less.

Heh, while we're talking about speakers, I have a BSSS: Bed Side Speaker System. Hook up my DS, and it just sounds cool. Bo the speakers are on either side of my pillow. It rocks!
