Sony Promises Big PSP Games...Again

Last year Sony gave PSP owners LittleBigPlanet and Motorstorm. I enjoyed them. They also gave us Gran Torismo...grumble grumble. Of course the 3rd parties had some big stuff too though games like Assasins Creed PSP were just lacklustre.

Every year, Sony claims that huge PSP games are coming to shake up the creatively tired system. This year, to make things a little different, Sony has tried a different approach -- claiming that huge PSP games are coming to shake up the creatively tired oh wait that's the same thing.

"As we move further into 2010, the innovation and technological prowess of the PSP system continues to be evident," says Sony hardware mouthpiece John Koller. "We have a plethora of exciting new games, some of which have yet to be announced, coming later this year that will continue to deliver the same unparalleled gaming experiences that you know and love."

This comes hot off the heels of Sony celebrating the PSP's fifth birthday. Of course, Sony continues to promise that the PSP will have massive titles, and while it manages to produce one or two good games every twelve months, it still lacks enough lasting quality titles. Maybe if Sony would stop wasting time redesigning the system for its annual re-release, it could invest more time in software. Just a thought.

Probably have a new God of War and a PSP version of Uncharted brewing. I'd take both, though something you know...new would be nice rather then port downs.

Color me unimpressed. The PSP has just never done it for me... honestly I'm surprised it's lasted so long, particularly after UMD's horrendous death. It's only useful after hacking it, anyway.

Makes me even less guilty that I pirate every single game. I WAS gonna buy Pokemon Heart Gold, but not anymore. They make enough money.

then what constitutes a "legitimate" gaming device? iphone/ipod touch is a fine gaming device with its own exclusives, while not as great and long as a games on either ds or psp there are still some great games on it.

I broke my analog stick

I tried to replace it with a new one but the latch that lock the ribbon came off.....

I am pissed. I haven't played my psp in like 3 months because of it. And yet, strangely, I don't miss anything.

So I'm thinking about selling all my games. The only thing that remains will be the 16gb memory stick. From there I'll see if I get a psp 2000 (current one is 3000).

If not I don't know what I can do with the money I wasted in download purchases.

Sony really screwed up. I used to play PSP more than DS but now my DSi took over again and won for good

with the DS being the only one that you have to purchase extra hardware for...
