Considering Microsoft is making good money on the Xbox and the Live system, you're trying to deviate from the point. You keep trying to say "It won't work." and I keep telling you "It worked for Microsoft" and you're just not getting it. Like holy shit. More people own an Xbox 360 than own a PS3, and according to Microsoft, 50% of those people pay for live. Taking the article into account, you can say that Microsoft makes $750,000,000 a year for Live. $750,000,000 that could be put toward better quality servers and security. That Microsoft not Sony.
Some people have not got a Xbox and got a wii or/and ps3 because paying for online is a deal breaker.

Assuming one Company thing will work for another one.

The fact is there a chance it would work and chance it wouldn't. Just looking at the psp go I do not think they going to try that.

Why do thing NGP wasn't like Go, dlc only because they do not want to lose the other customers. That the reason I won't buy it.

Beside want to pay for Live and PSN? If there a chance everybody go to live and a chance they just wouldn't pay, Sony is then losing money.

Plus you do know Companies tend to over exaggerate this could be the case here.

You trying to say with no doubt this will work.

I have no idea what half of what you just said was. Also, you're not getting the other part of it. They won't lose money. Having players pay for PSN is like free money for Sony. Based on this stat from 2 years ago over 17 million people are on PSN. Now, if people had to pay, 50% would probably discontinue their PSN service. Which means PSN servers cost Sony 50% less to maintain, and they're making lets say $60 a year(how much Xbox Live costs, just to compare) per person. That totals out to be $510,000,000.

Cut bills, increase profits, and also cut hackers since no script kiddies are going to bother with hacks to get themselves banned which would be a waste of the money they spent for that month/year.

Sony is really digging themselves their own grave by releasing so many PS3 revisions. This only ends up confusing consumers and deter them to buy PS3 (hoping to buy a later revision).

What you're talking about?

This isn't even true yet, it's a rumor. You have only Slims on the market now.

Even so, Revisions didn't killed XBox360.

That's because Microsoft was still making profits pretty much from the first year of launch. Sony has only JUST started turning a small profit.

All I'm saying I wouldn't pay for a only download console or a console which I have to pay online.

Even with stats it still only assumption that 50% will be willing to pay. It may fall much below that.

It less likely that would happen with ps3 because it would angry and lose customers who bought it for free online.

Even then if %50 of people are not buying ps3's and ps3 games anymore then that where they may lose money.

They may just end up with %50 of people buying psn with a %50 customers lost = %85 (maybe %15 lost due to privacy?) of customers who are buying games in
terms of money.

Then all you get is wasted hardward and angry customers.

If they try a pay online or only download games with ps4 then people may or may not buy it.

At end this agreement/debate? are all made up of assumptions.

Just because someone's not on Live or PSN doesn't mean they're not buying games. That's the worst assumption of this discussion.

It doesn't mean they will either, they may go to a system where they can play wifi for free, but I agree you kinda got me there.

If Sony forced everyone to pay for the PSN they would lose a lot of users. I'm more inclined to buy a console that's a little bit more expensive for the free online, but I wouldn't do the same if I had to pay just like the cheaper competitor. And if I had already bought the more expensive one just to lose the advantage of free online, man I'd be pissed.

Also that blog is totally not sensationalist at all, just look at this "Microsoft Made a Huge Donation to GeoHot" entry!
