Can anyone elaborate on the whole editing the hacks.ini thing? Never messed with it before - It's in the SD card in hacks.rar, right? What needs to be done to get Sonic 4 to work?

i wish i knew myself i haven't got a clue, i have just tried starfall and that freezes

i guess i have to wait till the pal ver comes out.

My impressions of this game are that it reminds me very much of the "classic" games, and I *still* do not like Sonic games. Oh well, at least I found it and gave it a chance. Now to uninstall it again.

How do you play it on Dolphin?Mine always wiimote disconnected even when i reconnect it.I'm using emulated wiimote.

I got it working on my NTSC wii (On a pal tv). I have my wii's video output changed to pal 60 using "Any region changer". After that I just boot up the game through the menu and it works great. No hassle at all.

What firmware is everyone on? I have been away from the Wii scene for some time. I'm on 4.0. It seems it needs to be higher to work. How would I go about upgrading without loosing anything?

Sweeeeet! I am loving this game! So much like the classics... Definitely a great game so far, and I am hoping Sega keeps Sonic in the right direction from this point on. =)

2D side scrollers are where Sonic does best.

Also, anybody having trouble installing make sure you are loading WAD manager in 249? Try another WAD?

Also, HOW THE HELL does the Wii play this game? It has neither Blast Core Processing OR High Definition graphics...

Made it region free with ShowMiiWads, works fine on my PAL wii.
Already at World 4 now. It seems to be the last word in this episode. Kinda short game =\

I use one of my 3 wiimotes on dolphin, 1st time I've ever used it too! Aaaaaand crashed on me again. F it gonna install it on my wii tomorrow!

Hmm, my impressions are, its good. It doesn't control quite as well as the old genesis ones, but its pretty damn good.

Realise my only gripe with this is that I wish I could swith the controls for 1 and 2 buttons... I just would feel more comfortable like that lol. I kept pressing 1 thinking something would happen.

Theeeeen I realised it is 2 I have to press. Control option only SHOWS the controls, no configurable controls. Oh well it does not take much to get used to.

Hmm, I used two different wads and I encounter the same problem with both:

I`ve used one region-free wad and one ntsc-wad that I converted into a pal-wad via FreeTheWads and both wads install without a problem. When I get to the homescreen and start the game (I also see the channel-intro) the Wii just restarts...

I`m on PAL 4.1E Wii. Any suggestion why this happens?

there are a few bigs, sonic isnt as fast as he used to be, when i hit a few springs i hit an invisbale wall about 3 feet above me that means i have to hit the spring a little left or to the right. It doesnt feel the same.

Well I made it regionfree with showmiiwads (didn't work, just rebooted), and I also noticed it uses IOS56. So I got hold of IOS56-64-v5146 and installed that too.
This time I'm getting a blue screen with error 002.

I haven't had this much trouble getting a game to run since Brawl first came out.

What is your Wii setup? are you running your system menu under 249? what cIOS?
