Sonic 1 Forever / Sonic 2 Absolute port?

So I know the usual answer for porting stuff to the 3DS is a bust. And I'm only asking because I'm pretty unexperienced with coding, but could Sonic 1 Forever get ported to the 3DS? The source code is available (https://github.com/ElspethThePict/TeamForever-v4-1.3) and I figured it would considering the Decompiled sonic games have been ported. I was just wondering about this one because I prefer its system and UI. (Btw I'm not asking it to be ported, just asking how possible it would be too do).

I've never even heard of these before now.

The decompiled Sonic games were ported to a whole bunch of different platforms. If no one has ported these at all yet, then that suggests the task is extremely difficult, let alone to the 3DS.
