Sonic 1/2 Wii U decomp mods?

Hello, I was wondering, how do I install mods on the Sonic 1 and 2 Wii U decomps? Specifically, the Sonic 1 forever and Sonic 2 absolute mods. I’m not sure where they’re supposed to go. If someone could let me know or upload the necessary files (without the data.rsdk), I would be extremely grateful!

I tried myself. I got then to work using the instructions in this old archived thread

It kinda works but pressing a button like start during the level freezes the whole game for me.
