I didn't format it but I dowgraded PRO-C to OFW with Chronoswitch Downgrader, installed ARK-4, then Infinity and finally made a full flash install so that I can boot ARK-4 without a Memory Stick/microSD card inserted on the PSP (or with a different one).
EDIT: I downloaded other versions of said games with split pak23.psarc files and though they share the same game ID, they're bigger in size, but they work fine with IRISMAN. I don't recall if said pak23.psarc files were split after using PS3 ISO TOOLS to convert them to ISO but honestly I don't care since the games are working now. The other versions were probably bad dumps.
EDIT 2: It seems pop-fe might be used in the PS3 to fix multi-disc PS1 games, to bypass LibCrypt in PS1 games and to fix black screens and graphical issues in the latter and it also uses the PPF patches (and configs) mentioned here so they're really needed to fix some PS1 games. The advantage of using pop-fe is that it already comes with the fixes and applies them to the PS1 games so they don't have to be manually downloaded and applied.
EDIT 3: I can only find Ratchet & Clank Full Frontal Assault PKG and RAP files in PSNDL and NPS and not EDAT's too. I still don't get why PKG files downloaded from other websites than PSNDL and NPS sometimes work without RAP's/EDAT's.
EDIT 2: I bought this powered USB hub for the PS3. I have to use a travel adapter to fit it in my wall socket since it has an US power plug and I'm in Portugal.
EDIT 3: There's multiMAN MOD which supports exFAT and NTFS unlike multiMAN.
