So I've pretty much done everything I wanted in terms of Wii U hacking: got the Homebrew channel installed on the Wii U OS and vWii OS, installed Wii U games, transferred my previously installed NGC and Wii games, transferred NGC and Wii save data, installed USB Loader GX as a channel. All in all, a pretty good experience for a amateur.

Only a few things left that I'm not sure if it's possible to do:

1- Is it possible to have USB Loader GX load automatically when getting into the vWii mode?

2- It it possible to load back into USB Loader GX when exiting a Wii game?

3- Is it possible to manage GameCube virtual memory cards (delete save data from a common 251 blocks MMC) without hooking my EXT HDD to me PC and using the Dolphin emulator?

4- When playing GameCube games, is it possible to set the Home button on the Classic Controller to require holding for 2 seconds in order to quit the GameCube game and go back to USB Loader GX? It’s way too easy to hit this instead of the Start button, especially on my HORI GameCube Classic Controller.

Thanks you

1- Not directly; although there are various homebrews to go directly from Wii U mode to Vwii autostarting a specific channel, said channel being the HBC but this can be changed in the source code (so you could launch a forwarder to an usb loader!)

2- No, but by having the same forwarder required for step 1, it's a matter of two clicks to go back to the usb loader -- in theory each game could be patched to return to the same forwarder instead of the wiimenu, but who wants to do that :)

Can't say much about the others, never used Nintendont or its spiritual predecessors

3 - Yes, if you have a BIOS from the same region as the game you're running (iplusa.bin, iplpal.bin, or ipljap.bin)

You mean USB Loader GX can load an official GameCube Bios before the game by just holding the A button? Also, how will the BIOS know which memory card I'm using if I have more than 1?

Only homebrew that I know of that will auto start stuff in the Wii menu is priiloader and that thing don't work right on vWii from what I've been reading.

That's a true statement if we're talking about (v)wii homebrews; the ones I mentioned are Wii U mode homebrews - https://github.com/FIX94/hbl2hbc

No, it's all through Nintendont. And it will act as though the memory card used for the game you're playing is inserted into slot A

Just read what was on that link you provided. Doesn't look like I'll be saving much time or steps with this. I've got the USB Loader GX installed as a channel on my vWii. Having to load Haxchi just to get to my Wii U's Homebrew channel will pretty much come down to the same thing, if not longer.

Oh, found an option in USB Loader GX for this, problem solved for that point.
